Getting the local votech to paint mine was the original plan too. But unfortunately, the only local one that still does it won't paint anything older than 85, and won't do full-body jobs. They'll only do repairs and the painting that comes with it. I thought it was odd, but meh.

That is the longterm plan, 73. But, as a temporary fix, money saving opportunity, and frankly... a curious itch that must now be scratched, I was going to try this out ^^

Without reading it, how do you know what the process is? ^^ Kidding. And if the average person constantly comes up to me telling me my paint job is nice, and it looks as good as other cars at shows, then I'll be plenty happy. I am not exactly shooting for Barret Jackson caliber...

Indeed. My car's got too much bondo on it to ever be a competing show car anyways. I want it for a daily driver.

Wow. not only am I watching this thread, but I'm seriously considering this. I mean. if it comes out piss-poor, I'm 50 dollars in the hole, and have some more sanding ahead of me. What do I have to lose? EDIT: Other than the respect of half of the FABO community ;)
