Referring to my latest post, the new regulator was indeed broken, JUNK!

Hi, im having too high voltage when I get over 2000rpm. At idle it charges 14.3 and when I put up to 2000 it charges 17 to 18 volts. Regulator is bolted to the fender and I made an extra ground wire also. Regulator is new from rock auto, could it be broken otb?

Great sound, cant wait to get on the road.

Good to know if the fel pro doesnt seal. I couldnt find the remflexs here, Ill have to buy a pair when I visit states in a couple weeks.

Pro Flo 4 on a 5.2 magnum with EQ heads.

I bought Fel Pro 1432 gaskets, smaller holes and much more material under the port, should do it.

With EQ head and TTI header?

What gaskets you have used with EQ an TTI? I tried Fel Pro 1413 but it doesnt match the port.

Wohoo! Got it running! I had some issues; fan didnt start so i had to stop the engine at 198f. Turned out I had the relay connected wrong. And I didnt get the idle speed adjusted, Ill have to try the wizard again when I get the fan connected properly. And I may have a headerleak.... But, great...

Powersteering almost ready. Hoses are pretty close to header, but maby theyll survive.

Thats cool, makes me even more anxious to get this thing running! All I need anymore is adapter for the ps pump to hook the pressurehose. I made the hose out of PTFE-hose with AN6 inserts. Ill post pics later.

Its been a busy summer, no garagetime in three months. Last sunday I finally got time to put fuelpump in the tank. I bought Tanksinc gpa-3 pump and I assembled it in to my old tank. Its a homemade stainless steel tank, about 70litres. Fuel line is going to be 3/8 aluminun pipe and steelbraided...

What a refreshing vacation, and now its over so back to this :) Got three pistons shaved for .006 and with Felpro 1008 gasket ive got quench between .034-.039. Its pretty tight but I think It will work.

Might be, I used magnum rods and KB pistons are press fit. After a week of hard thinking Ive decided to give it a try. Ill get three pistons shaved for .006. That brings my quench in .043-.047 range with 8553pt and then I can use a thinner gasket and get final quench of ~.033 to .035

Seems that everything is chinese today. I bought a set of SKF bearings, made in china says the label on the box...

Machinist said 0,47mm, thats .0185", I thought he meant they are all the same. And yes, the EQ heads are closed chamber. I didnt have access to right tools so I had to improvise, also this is my first enginejob so Im learning, every day is a schoolday. I put solder (is this the right word?)...

Tell me about it... Ive been trying to figure this out all day, I could get 4 pistons shaved and then use thinner gasket, but how about my balancing then? .008 shaved off a piston, how many grams is it?

Well, this didnt go as planned... Somehow Ive got piston to head clearance everything between .038 and .047 .038 is good but .047 is not... Dont know wtf should I do, block is decked allready and crank balanced.

Thats what I thought and decided not to stroke. I want decent street manners and best possible gas mileage, RON 98 is 1,50€/ litre here, that means its 6,50$/ gallon :D I also decided to feed the engine with Pro-Flo4 fuel injection to support those things. Engine is slowly getting somewhere...
