Nope i had pretty much the same problem. The tq converter or the flex plate needs to be balanced. The B&M balanced Flexplate would let you run your stock tq converter. I have a 727/360 one in the for sale adds.

fishy68- The Gearhead kickdown kit was $30. I wish i would have read your post before i bought that Chinese cable. The car show is just 2 miles from my house and i thought there was no other way to make it besides buying a cable. I will remember that lever trick though in case of emergencies...

Would an 8 3/4 rear from 72 plymouth sport suburban fit my 74 plymouth duster ? I pulled the 360/727 from the suburban and the jy is about to crush it. I just thought i would see if there are any other parts i can pull from it for my duster like the 8 3/4 rear, seats, disk brakes, yada yada.:poke:

I was Just wandering if anyone has ever made the floor shift bracket that bolts to the transmission. I have been thinkin about makin it and the rods to change my 74 duster over to floor shift.
