I had a '72 and miss it dearly.... but my favorite has always been the '70-71.

The closest I have is my '56. I was on the Forward look site years ago and they have alot of helpful people on there ( just don't talk too much about modding them... lol)

I would love to be part of a 67-69 reg. Who knows, maybe I would run across my old '67... Or better yet my Dads '69 340-S 4spd notch that he ordered new.

I read some where that Plymouth came out with the red wheel liners after GM had offered them on one of there cars ( i don't remember what one ). The red was for a for a cosmetic appearance... to look meaner. I'm sure they helped some with Ice and noise, but were offered to compeat with GM.

I've thought about putting Hemi heads on my 270 in the '56.... but then I would still only have 270cid, So I guess a 440 makes more sence... and power :)

I put a new battery in my '56 and after working with her for a while I got her to run... backed her out of the storage unit she's been sitting in for a couple years, let her warm up and put her her away again. At least until next week... then she's coming out of hibernation. I have alot to do so...

A big block for my '56, big bolt wheels for my '68, a convert. for my '99 Neon, and a manual trans for my '05 Ram.

In one of my parts cars I found a bag of speed and some birth control pills, and in the '67 Barracuda I traded in for a '68 Charger I found some "stems and seeds" in the ash tray.

It's not bad.... of course I'm not looking at was it is now, But what it would be when I would finish it. A conv. with a 440 Sweat! I would have to make it look stock though.

It's cool but kind of sucks.... by the time I finish mine it might be worth too much to drive and enjoy, of course by then I might not be able to drive. lol

The only time I lay down any rubber is in my drive way ( it's up hill ). For the most part I'm clean and keep to myself... if my neighbors have a problem with me or my cars they can suck my balls. The guy that was living next to me was 10X worse than I am.... Bob was cool :) we got along great...

I don't have any good pics of mine & haven't worked on it in a long time. It's a '68 340 S all numbers matching, A/C, P/S, std interior, Red W/ maroon inter, red strip... etc, etc. I can't wait to pay off my bills from my divorce and start back on it.

With 46K on it I couldn't bring myself to restore it.... just poish. Sweeeet car!

Worst case buy a rebuilt tranny from a parts store (Advance Auto can get salvage yard trannies w/ warranties). Then you will have a warranty on the tranny. The part I don't like about junk yards is that you don't know what you'll get ( kinda like a box of chocolate ) going through a parts store...

Nice car. Five years ago I bought my '68 for 5k in about the same shape.

I'll be there one way or another, I already have my reservation for Columbus Gatehouse Inn... I stayed there last year. Clean, close to Brice Rd. ( I know it's gone down hill... but i still have to spend at least one night there) and the price isn't that bad.

I'd love to have that car! I would restore it and clone it like the '69 my dad bought new. Same color & body, 340-S 4spd black interior with console.
