The Duster sold late this afternoon to a genuine MOPAR guy, who stated he wasn't going to change it one bit. He walked around the car slack-jawed and couldn't give me his money fast enough. It was bitter-sweet, but in the end I think it went to the perfect new owner.

Anyone? Make me an offer.

That, as they say, is the million dollar question. However, it's only 11 days until Hot August Nights in Reno!! The wife and I are secretly hoping it doesn't sell until after we enjoy this event one last time.

It's sad that even with seat covers on, it still left a blemish on the seat. I guess there's enough friction between the seat cover and the seat to do that over the course of 40 years.

Sorry to confuse everyone...the money will pay for her nursing home & meds, but the empty space in the garage will allow me to pick up the Mustang. The Mustang belongs to my father-in-law who said he'll hang onto it for me until the Duster (or my Acura RL which is also for sale) is gone.

I already have a 69 Camaro SS project AND...as soon as I have cash in hand from this sale, I'm getting a 65 Mustang 2+2 GT.

I think this weeks Car Corral will give me an idea if the car sparks any interest. However, if it doesn't sell this week, Hot August Nights in Reno is right around the corner. Reno is about an hour from here and that should be a nice little drive for the Duster.

Well that would be fair I guess. The car actually drives better now than it did in '72 in large part due to the radial tires. Starts on the first attempt every time. I did notice that the A/C wasn't getting very cold and probably needs a can or two of R12. Last time I looked at a Hemmings...

Oh, and I also found the original bill of sale (cost $3419 out the door), the owner's manual, the warranty paperwork and receipts for every stinking oil change/repair.
