Have you ever turned down an offer for you car that was too good to refuse?

I'm still playing with my '66 Valiant 2 door post. I have been approached maybe a half a dozen times, because I drive it every day that it's runable. It's got a nice newly built 340, 3500 stall, 904, 8 3/4 with either 3.23's, 3.91's or 4.86's, depending on use. I've been working on this thing...

Anybody remember the TV show Mannix?

Time Warner carries it too, watched it yesterday. He was driving a green dart convertable, top down, with Cragers, California plate number NMO-918 if I got it right. Don't know what year Dart, but my old '65 Valiant had a plate number of NHB-899. When I met Conners it was around 1960, he was...

9:00 PM and the heat index is 103 degrees!

Well, almost 4:30 in the afternoon, and the TV news out of LA says it's about 100 right now here in Berdoo. My Oregon brand desktop weather station says it's 110. Feels like 110 to me. I'm right at the foothills of the San Bernardino Nat. Forest, just below Crestline and Lake Arrowhead. Russ.

Congratulations Lee. Personally, I'd rather the panyhose and heels, and you could make extra money playing pool. Of course, you'd still live next door, and I would have eye candy whenever I wanted. Love you girl. Miss you. Russ.

Do you know any famous people?

When I was a kid I worked with Dick Seargent and Marjorie Reynolds on a TV series (The Millionare), and worked on stage with Wanda Shannon, and Ruda Lee and Billy Barty. Redfish - Demon IVR

............And while I'm at it, I'd better thank CudaChick, Leanna, for the beautiful 273 Camando valve covers she did for me this past summer. She knows EXACTLY where I live and I wouldn't put it past her to look me up and give me hell. Maybe I shouldn't have said anything after all. Thanks...

Should I start a Jeep Forum?

J E E P stands for a few different things. One is Just Empty Every Pocket, and to what Ink and Rev said, it also stands for Just Everyone Else's Parts. My '78 came stock with a AMC engine, a ford ignition system and a turbo 400 trans. When I pulled the 360 out and built the 401 for it, I used...

Should I start a Jeep Forum?

I'll echo what Rani said. I have a '78 Cherokee Chief widetrack and used to go Jeepin' all the time, now most of my friends have sold their Jeeps or they are just parked. I used to go to Part's MIke's "Jeep" forum, but now it's dead. By the way, if anyone has ever heard of or bought parts from...

    Trap/Skeet/Sporting Clays shooters?

Rusty, I couldn't tell you how much it costs compared to store-bought. My dad and I figured it out once a long time ago, and reloading was cheaper back then. But take into consideration that I have more than one load I use. I have four different loads I shoot, depending on what I'm shooting (16...

    Trap/Skeet/Sporting Clays shooters?

I've been shooting trap for over 35 years now. I use my 870 Wingmaster TB I bought new around 1980 or so, before that it was an old Mossberg. I love it. Had the stock cut right out of the gate, I'm only 5'3". I've always loaded my own. I like trap, winks and buddy shoots, and I LOVE shooting...

Dart Doctor, Check with 73AbodEE, he asked the same question. No offense meant to anyone, honestly, but I'm not going to type all that stuff again. To put it in a nutshell, the local members have first choice. There's folks close to me in Riverside, Temecula, Murrieta, Ontario, Orange...

Free....early A body slant 6 power steering setup

I'm cleaning out one of my sheds and came across a power steering setup for an early A body. If I remeber right I pulled it out of either a '66 Valiant or a '66 Dart wagon. It's the steering box, two hoses and pump, all hooked together. The pressure line looks like it's fairly new. The pitman...

    Who is self employed?

I've been self-employed since 1990. Own Stick Shift Transmissions in San Bernardino, CA. I only do bench labor (no R & R work) on sticks, transfer cases and differentials. Some times it's slow, some times it's too damn busy, do a bunch of circle track stuff. It all works out. Russ.
