I've got three going on at once. I work on guns like I do my cars, can't just do one at a time. Lol. I have that one. A model 93 I'm gonna barrel in 300 savage and a large ring 98 I'm actually doing my own wildcat cartridge in. I'm sure I'm just reinventing the wheel but I've always wanted to...
Been a while since I chimed in over here. Figured I'd share my latest winter project. Mauser 96 rebarrled with a shaw 24" 6.5x55. Cut welded and shaped the bolt. All I have left is fitting the barreled action to the stock and fitting a scope friendly safety. I also have a video series on YouTube...
That makes alot od sense! I guess that's why I sets like a 4wd. And I noticed there was evidence of tires rubbing and both front fenders are "clearanced" I thought was a huge coincidence that both front fenders was folded in at the exact same place! Someone has hammered them in for tire...
Did a little messing around on the truck today. I looked at the frame around the steering box like @George Jets And @JDMopar and I talked about it appears someone has already add the plate. Or is this factory? The coil spring on the drivers side looks a little wonky to me it appears like it has...
Thank you i appreciate that. He is missed dearly! I still have ham he is my right hand man now, lol. If you get around to it, send me a Pic of the crack as well so I know what to look for. Thanks bud
Hey bud good to hear from you. That sounds like a good plan. I will leave mine the 5.5 pattern too and find some wheels that I like. I will check that steering box out. I've read that is a weak point and they make a plate that goes there the fix it. That very well could be my issue...
@George Jets found this on the ramcharger fourm. So according to this mines is 5.5
'72-74, '80-93 W series and '85-93 D series is 5.5 on 5, '72-84 D series, '74-79 RC & TD and '75-79 W series are 4.5 on 5.

I agree don't get me wrong I love the tin grille trucks but there is just something about the 80s I really really like. And I prefer the cross grille over the early 80s square pattern
You know I haven't even measured them yet. I was assuming they are 5 on 4.5. My plan is to run some steel wheels with poverty caps like on my dart. I plan on lowering it a couple inches and running some 255/60/15s on the rear and maybe 235/60s on the front. But that's way in the future lol
I recently acquired my next project. I know I don't need a other one but I got an itch and has to scratch it! I've been wanting another square body dodge truck since I sold my 85 W150. So I got this one last Friday. It's a 88 D100 with a 3.9 v6. It's going to be swapped with a 5.9 magnum...
No. I quit that it was making me old! Haha I work here and there if I need the extra money for parts! Lol. I usually average 1 day a month now. Those 72-84 hour weeks started to get to me. When I was 20 it wasn't bad but I'm almost 40 now haha
Yea buddy! I really need to get on here more often I really miss you guys! I gotta get back on my YouTube channel as well I've been slipping over there too! I haven't made anything since February!
Hey girl! How you been? Oh yea it's moving well. Still alot to be done but I've been mostly driving and enjoying it more than working on it. Lol I do need to pull the transmission yet again I found another leak. (This is the 4th time lol) this time it's the front seal. But yes it's moving and...
I absolutely hate an angle grinder for this exact reason! I've had many many close calls and a couple small injuries that's could have been alot worse than they were with them. I had a close call just a month or so ago I had a cut off wheel buck and caught my sweatshirt. Luckily it didn't hit...
I'd join! I am a closet ford guy after all. Lol Fairlanes are my favorite im pretty found of ford trucks too. 64s and 68/68 ford Fairlanes are my favorite non mopar cars !
It was originally a 318 auto car. It's gonna be a 360 auto. I have a budget 360 I'm gonna go thru and refresh I gotta find a good transmission. I have a 904 but it's a lockup idk if I want to use it for this.
