    I looked at the voodoo cams but up here they are a special order for my parts guy as they arent as popular as comp cams stuff. I have had good luck with comp cams and if you break them in properly they are good.

    that does sound interesting Jimjimjimmy. when you say custom grind do you mean you have to order it that way from comp?. is this a hydraulic cam also?.

    X heads

    750 is pretty fair. I had mine redone for 750 . 3 angle grind had to go oversize stems, new springs, seals. took mine out to 220 from 202. 168 to 172. probably won't get a lot of miles out of them but i only drive a couple thousandmiles a year. And man do they breath well.

    Hi FABO members just wanted to let all know that you should make sure to check new pistons out of the box. Had my block bored and honed for new set of kb hper pistons. Machinist found 3 collapsed pistons. Had to order a new set from kb . Anybody else had this problem kb243.040.

    Thats great input guys . I am running X- heads i CCd one head today and got a reading of 72 cc after doing the math looks like the compression would be around 9.8:1 using kb243 pistons. That was using a .038 gasket. thanks for all the reply's keep them coming it's good to see what others are doing

    I pulled out the motor last weekend she was using a lot of oil . After some measuring i found i will have to bore the 340 to .040. What pistons and rings do FABO members recommend for a good stout street /strip motor. Any input would be awesome.

    Want to replace bolts on main. The 340 has the windage tray and the bolts for those have threads in them for the tray.My question is do ARP bolts have the same. thanks
