Okay, 3-48 screws were wrong. Now have 4-40 screws, brass and slotted head, courtesy of Fastenal. The heads are not as flat as the originals, though but I doubt it will be of much consequence.
The BBD in question is off my '69 318, FWIW.
So I believe you need 3-48 brass screws and some loctite. I ordered some of these in 1/4" length and will post if/how they work out.
*edit: this is not the right size, read below.
Like it says...anyone got a source for these or know the dimensions? One of the screw heads popped off while reassembling my Carter BBD. Maybe someone's got a scrap carb or somethin'?
Thank you, gents! It's all going in a '69 Barracuda (you probably guessed) and plan to use the stock manifolds. I can handle a little grinding if that's all that's needed.
Okay, so by "clearance issues" you mean between exh manifold and fender, I'm assuming. Are the exhaust ports set higher or lower? What's the cause?
Otherwise, just use the 318's pushrods and rock on from there?
Should be an easy question because of the minimal variables.
Assuming I just want to stick with stock everything....valves, cams, etc. will 302 heads drop right in on a '69 318? What of pushrod lengths? What of intake and exhaust port alignment?
*I've noticed alot of "302" threads...
