i have a slant 6 on an engine stand and i am now putting it back together. I applied the oil pan to the block, but from looking at the back side of the block to pan, I can see the bolts that hold the rear seal cap in place. Is this coorect? It that all the seal that is needed? The rubber seals...

i currently have 68 Valiant 2 dr with a /6 that has a cracked block. I have been debating whether to just toss another /6 in it and roll on. or remove the /6 and put in a more modern 318. has anyone ever updated an older car to a n newer FI motor? was it time consuming and painful?
