    went to prime my 416 and a leak was found,, the oil filter,, checked filter # Purolator L14670 it shows 360,, I have a 69 cast date 340,,, Purolator says L30001 is called for the early 340,,the only difference is the ooo1 filter is .oo8 bigger in dia.,, I want to start this motor by weeks end...

    oil dipstick problem

    I am using a kevco pan and going to use level finder on pan but need that dipstick hole closed,, am using a chrome dip stick and took a wire wheel to the chrome but it still wouldn't fit,, no oil no scrapper

    sure the dipstick hole is to small for the 360 dipstick,, I looked hard at hole in the block and it seems to have a pressed in fitting,, doesn't seem like a old stick broken because the fitting is rolled in a nice round shape no sharp burrs

    this close to firing up my 416 stroker and another problem,, I used a 1969 340 for my choice and can not get the 360 dip stick in,, I read that there was a changes in 340 blocks in 70? was the dipstick hole made larger in 70 ?,,, if so I need a 68-69 dipstick fast

    Kevko says I should not have a problem,, let me run down problem,, 73 duster had a 360 headers bolted on no problem,, so I put a 69 340 stroker with a kevko m301 pan drivers side fit but are contact with pan,,,pass side will not even match up to heads,,1 tube is hitting pan keeping header...

    DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!,,there's my 340/416 scat stroker,,chose 11-7.1 kit,, has eddy closed chambered heads,750 proform carb, torker 2 manifold, mopar 284/528 solid lift cam,, 391 8 3/4 rear,,, Guys look at the trans it seems to be a big block,, is that possible?

    Just a few days away from dropping my 416 in and again a problem,,i used a 69 340 block and my k frame is 73-76 small block, I wanted to use the motor mounts off the 360 I took out #3642811 / 810 and they don't match up to the 340/416,, can anybody give me the right motor mount #'s or better yet...

    just ordered my scat stroker kit,416 hi-comp internal balanced and their 8000 rpm balancer, have eddy closed chambered heads springs good to 575 lift, torker II intake,4200 stall from my 440 ,block is getting board 030 ,, a proformer 750 race carb,,3/91 gears now,,live in dirt track racing area...
