    Dumb question. Plug wire routing

I am running cast aluminum Mopar performance on a 2002 Magnum 360 with the 318 exhaust manifold. Those would not fit the magnum 360. Thanks

    Dumb question. Plug wire routing

Please, don't beat me up too bad. I am having a slight issue that I can't get right. I have a 1967 Barracuda. I replaced the 318 with a magnum 360 about a year and a half ago. It is a crate 360 magnum from Mopar. I used the 318 exhaust manifolds and there in lies my issue. I had to...

    360 to 904 sorry confused

70aar is correct. Your magnum 360 and that summit product will not work. I just did your same conversion on my Barracuda. Use a flex plate from any 360 magnum and as aar stated you will have to elongate one bolt hole and it works great.

    Oil Leaking From Dipstick

Pics of your engine would be great. My 360 has a PCV valve plus three baffled breather caps. If all you have is a PCV valve and a twist on oil filler cap you need to add some breather caps to help you engine relieve pressure. IMO

    Exhaust manifold leak issue ?

Did you have the exhaust manifold trued? Sometimes they get warped and need to be trued. If you did that and it is still leaking use high temperature permatex around all the ports that will stop the leak?

Anyone running Propane, or thinking about it?

It is all that has been said, clean, efficient, cheaper?, oil stays clean, plugs stay clean and you lose quite a bit of power. It isn't cheap to maintain the vehicles and you need a BIG tank. When I was a police officer the city that I worked for ran a pilot program and converted about half the...

    5.9 Magnum help needed

Is there a way I can test my fuel pump to see if it is the problem? Disconnect the fuel line at the carb put the fuel line in a can and turn the engine over. If the fuel pump is not working you will get zero gas.

    Oil level indicates loss

I am fairly sure I addded the right amount of oil. 5.1 quarts with the filter? That is probably the best place to start but what is the correct amount of oil? In the 318 it was 4.5 quarts with the filter, what is it with the 360 magnum? Also if the dipstick is to short and I fill it up...

    Oil level indicates loss

I have a new Mopar 360 magnum crate. It has been in the car about 4 months, runs good, sounds good. It has about 500 miles on it and I have changed the oil once since install. It doesn't smoke and there are no oil leaks but I have had to add a qt. and a 1/2 of oil to it a couple of days ago...

    Need help with everything

On August 24 I installed the magnum mopar crate, it runs good, not fine tuned yet, why? I don't know how to do it. It is not that bad but I am trying to take care of smaller issues first like exhaust leak I can't seem to stop. But today on the way back from a friend's house I punched it and it...

    Mopar Performance Valve Cover owners!!!!

I have these valve covers on my 318 with LA heads and a eddy RPM. I had to grind some of the lip on the intake side because the lip rested on the intake before the head. I understand that that is what happens with most. Perhaps someone with stock intake will chime in.

    running............... now nothing...help

You are correct it does have to be on the compression stroke. It is possible that you have the dist. 180* off. This happened to me this past weekend when I tried to start the new 360. I was on the compression stroke but the distributor was 180* off, lifted it out put it 180* around and it...

    It's Alive

Yea, started the 360 magnum yesterday at 5:18 pm and after a few tries it stayed running fairly well. The project continues with the biggest issue being exhaust leaksssss. I am using the stock exhaust for the present time, cash flow issue, and I thought it was pretty tight during install. Man...

    What is the torque for

Sorry, that is the head/socket size. 5/16 is about right.
  16. cuda67

    What is the torque for

That is what I will be doing today, 30-45 ft/lbs is just a little wacky. I am sure the bolts will break before you reach either of those numbers. Thanks.
  17. cuda67

    What is the torque for

The bolts are 1/2 inch and that is why I think I will go with 20 or less pounds. Your BTW is my concern. Thanks
  18. cuda67

    What is the torque for

Does that apply to the M1 intake? I ask only because the factory torque is for fuel injection. I am pretty sure that I will loosen the two bolts I did today and wait till I get some more info. I would lean towards the 12 more than the 45. Do you think Mancini would have the right answer?
  19. cuda67

    What is the torque for

a M 1 intake on a 360 magnum MP crate engine. All I can find is 45 ft/lbs and that seems like quite alot. I have also seen 35 ft/lbs and that still seems like alot. I started to put 45 on tonight but quit because it just feels like too much. I then started to put on 35 and quit again because it...

    swapping my 318 for a 360 magnum

Well as we all know the B&M flexplate #10241 has been discontinued, so what do I have to do to marry the magnum to the 904 internally balanced tranny. I remember reading something on here about that but I can't find it. Please, all help is appreciated.

    swapping my 318 for a 360 magnum

Yes, it is a single plane, Mopar M1 intake. The pulley does look rather big but that is what the P.O. had on it. I have to change the timing cover and the water pump so I can use the pullies from the LA 318. I need to acquire a few more parts for the new engine then pull the 318 out of the car...

    swapping my 318 for a 360 magnum

Sounds cool. I have been thinking of this project for quite awhile. I was going to build a 408 stroker but the more I checked around for a good machine shop the less interested I became. The good machine shops all seem to be too busy with high dollar jobs and keep putting you off till they feel...

    swapping my 318 for a 360 magnum

This site is great. The LA318 timing cover will fit the 360 magnum, that is good news. I found the B&M Flex plate I need through Summit. Now I need to get a radiator and headers. Which starter should I get? The 360 magnum is a mopar performance crate engine that I bought as part of a...

    swapping my 318 for a 360 magnum

I have alot of questions but I will start out with this one. Can I use the power steering pump from my 318 on the 360? I can tell just by looking that the brackets won't work, there is no where for the bracket on the 360 water pump. What is the way to go with this? What pullies will I need...

    360 for 318 swap

Maybe I didn't say it right. I am replacing my LA318 with a 360 Magnum. I am trying to find out what bracket I can use to mount the power steering from the LA318 onto the new 360 Magnum. The bracket from the LA 318 will not work on the Magnum 360. Thanks for any suggestions.

I am about to do a 360/318 swap. What bracket can I use to put the power steering pump on the 360 from my 318. The 318 brackets are not going to work. It looks like the alternator brackets from the 318 will work?? What radiator do you all use? All help appreciated. Perhaps I need to add that...

who to buy rhs heads from

I am a little confused about this pricing thing. On the IMMENGINE site the RHS heads for and LA/MAGNUM is 1395.00 and at Summit the Edelbrock heads are 1431.00. Where is the 400-500 dollar difference?
