My intake manifold leaks like a sieve

So last night I simply rested the manifold on the gaskets and a bead of rtv. I hand tightened a manifold bold in each of the four corners. I planned on going back today and torquing all 12 bolts down to spec in that Mopar sequence. I should be able to fill it back with water (test run) and fire...

My intake manifold leaks like a sieve

Not here. The heads were off the engine for well over a year. I even posted pics here. I need to find them on my Google drive. I know I have the pics showing no pins were installed. I guess I need to rip this thing apart again and start over

My intake manifold leaks like a sieve

I think I just fumbled the install I don't think the manifold is warped I doubt they milled that much as it was a $300 "go through p&p job" I just bolted the intake on and started it up The first time I had really high revs like I had leak in my intake gasket No water was leaking then I then...

My intake manifold leaks like a sieve

Operator error I had the engine professionally built and it ran fine for 50k miles Decided to put on some new heads so I grabbed a set from junkyard and had machine shop work them over. Then I installed the fresh heads and now I have this leak. So the leak is my fault. There were no...

My intake manifold leaks like a sieve

I used the regular FL1213 gasket That SFL1213 is only available at Summit Is there really a difference in that Summit only version? Is it superior to the regular FL1213?

My intake manifold leaks like a sieve

Thanks but multiple brands with multiple levels of quality of gaskets I wanted to get the tried and true FABO consensus on gaskets work great and which ones are trash. I think I even installed this gasket set Yolo linked Maybe I needed more silicone or a different type (I used the blue rtv)...

Rocker shaft not sitting flush in head

Demonracer Demonracer came through for the rescue and got me straigthened out today. Thanks again!!!! Basically, threads were full of crap so we spent all the time running a tap down each hole. Then the lifters sat so long that they filled with oil and were all pumped up so it made it a little...

Rocker shaft not sitting flush in head

http://i.imgur.com/RXv6GA9.jpg How do I "bump" the cam so it relieves pressure off the valve? You can see how high one pushrod is sitting in this picture If I could spin the motor/cam over I'd be able to have the valve/pushrod sit lower so I could tighten down the bolt

Rocker shaft not sitting flush in head

Heads are on engine. Those are the correct bolts. I know about the ft lbs as I've already snapped one using that WRONG information that's posted online. A couple guys here were thoughtful enough and came to my rescue by sending me replacement stock bolts. I have a thread about it. Thanks I'll...

Rocker shaft not sitting flush in head

Hey how's it going? http://i.imgur.com/7UtBLS3.jpg I'm trying to put my rocker arms back on but they won't sit flush in the head girdle thing. This doesn't seem right to me. Also, the rocker shaft bolts don't even snug down the retaininer/clip that separates the rockers. Ideas????

    Broken Rocker Shaft Bolt Removal

I don't know if it's so bad I sprayed water in the top of that hole and it leaked out through a valve So, I don't think that hole is connected to a water jacket. But yes an intake/exhaust leak is bad But not as bad as that water leak Does everyone agree? It's hard as I don't know what to find a...
