    Does anyone make a stock style steel pulley set up for the pre 69 340. I am only runnning the alternator. I know i can buy aluminum, but am looking for steel, stock style. thanks for any and all help.

    He wants to use a 9.5 -1 piston. He claims by changing the lsa to 112 he can make the motor think it has higher compression by limiting the time that the intake and exhaust are open together.

    I sent him the email with the pics , he said no problem he welds cast all the time. From the other stuff that I have read, its not the bolt hole thats important its the dowel. If the dowell cant hold the trans case in the exact right position then you got problems

    In searching through posts and talking to people, it seems to be very common. I sent the pics to friend who works a metal fab welding business, he said he could do it no problem. They weld cast stuff all the time.
