    GREAT NEWS....and bad news...

i put in a painless wire harness in my 68 dart, went for a cruise and blew not just the 60 amp fuse but my battery, alternator, voltage regulator and my electronic ignition box. oh, and most of the cars light bulbs blew as well. i was running the higher amperage alternator for A/C equipped...

    another wiper problem

i had a problem with my wipers before, they would stop at the most in opprotune times, like the middle of a rainstorm driving through town... they would start up again if I bumped the motor or the wiper arms. i solved it by screwing the 3 mounting bolts (the ones with the rubber bumpers) for...

    Painless wiring?

the ground wires for the marker lights in the grill need to be kept to. at least for 68 darts dunno if the rest of the cars have `em and just for the record, my kit came with 4 head light pigtails and no bulkhead plate or grommet :D

    Painless wiring?

i put the mopar harness in my dart, had to use most of the connectors off the original harness as well as some wires for the light group ( map light) I also had to add a second field wire for the alternator. took a fried alt, maxi fuse and all my light bulbs to learn that lesson.

    Ignition switch light

it is attached to a loop that fits over the iginition switch and is held in place by the ignition switch when it is screwed in... at least on the 68 dart I own, which has the iginition switch on the dash instead of in the column.

    Over charging alternator

i was having similar prob after i put the painless wiring harness in, i upgraded voltage regulators, but then I was not charging at all. I swapped out to a alternator that has 2 field wires instead of one and now it works like a charm.

    Fried Electricals

Well I drove the car home today. Had some kind of electrical spike. Blew 3 out of 4 turn signal light bulbs, they got so hot the filament melted to the glass. The relays were fine, just blown bulbs. The Electronic control module was fried though. as was the ballast resistor. My tach was...

the only fusable link is the 50 amp fuse. no bulkhead connections (painless wiring harness) beleive we will be putting a lower rater Alternator on as well as the rest of the stuff, got the 65 smp one for A/C cars right now

    Painless wiring install... snafu?

got my cars electircals all in today. have a couple minor glitches. Used a painless 60s mopar wiring harness. put in new starter relay as well as voltage regulator. Alternator seems to be putting out lots of extra juice. Did not hook the ammeter up, and have not got a voltmeter...
