Then the next troubleshooting step would be as mentioned by Denny is to run a temporary wire from the battery to the little red wire. If that does not solve your issue you likely have an issue in the distributor and it is not triggering the Box.

PLEASE HELP IM IN DIRE STRAIGHTSNo spark MSD but test fine what am i missing!

I am saying you need to get a test light or a voltmeter and verify that you have a start circuit and a run circuit and they are both tied to the little red wire that turns the MSD on. Typically the Run circuit is dark blue and start circuit is brown. You need to be firing the MSD while the...

PLEASE HELP IM IN DIRE STRAIGHTSNo spark MSD but test fine what am i missing!

You need to tie start qnd run circuits together with the small red wire. It sounds like what may be happening when the car intermittently starts is that it rolls over quick enough and catches the run circuit when the key pops back to that position. I have seen this happen many times with New...

    MSD or Blue Streak wires?

I have used FireCore, MSd, Moroso, Taylor, Magnacore Blue Streak (same product line as the link) and Accel with good good results. The most I ever made on n20 using Blue Streak was 576whp. I think you will be fine with the more economical of the two.

    MSD question

The green wire is mag negative on the box and it has a detent on that side of the connector housing. The negative hookup on your dist will be the black wire. Pic from my GTS.

    MSD question

Usually the mag pickup has a violet wire and a green wire. Just make sure you preserve the mag + and mag - . I assume the mag - on your distributor is the wire with a black tracer.

    Blowing Maxi Fuse immediately...?

My advice is to break out a test light and check for voltage where it shouldn't be. If you have a multimeter with a continuity tester (the setting that beeps when you touch the probes together) you can disconnect the battery and start removing power wires until you find one that is shorted to...

    Tach mounting

Find a 16ga chunk of aluminum and bend it in a "U" shape. Transfer punch tach mounting pattern and drill. Clean up tooling marks, paint your color of choice, use button head allen fasteners to mount tach. You can use some adhesive backed foam under the bracket or felt to protect the dash pad.

Pertronix with an epoxy filled coil. If you need a rev limiter use the external rev limiter box.

My car is a 4 speed therefore I lock out the rear brakes and hold the front with button engaged. When i let off the brake pedal with the line lock engaged the brake system warning light illuminates. Maybe using the dash light will work. Again with a manual trans i only use it for the burnout...
