Check the reluctor gap.......I had one come loose and increase the gap to a point where i had similar symptoms.......not sure what the gap should be on a 6 cyl. distributer, the v-8 is .008 good luck

dont know if this helps, but the mopar air gap is .008 for the reluctor, the bigger the gap the less powerful spark....use a non magnetic welders feeler gauge......

is it an automatic?..............neutral safety switch, i had one break on me and couldnt start the car.............just a thought, good luck

I have run Acell 300+ 8.8 wires on my SB, same set for 15 years, I think they are starting to go, original resistance was 150 oms per ft. now they are at 300opf..Ill probably get the same ones again in the universal set.
