Not sure on original poster but my question was for an 8 3/4, I have OE 10" drums with SBP and was wondering if I can use my backing plate and buy 70 challenger 10" drums and shoes to make LBP, if that would work.

I've been wondering the same thing, so if I'm reading correctly I can't use the OE 70 Dart 10" backing plates, cylinders, shoes and just install new axles and say 70 challenger 10" LBP drums?

OK, so I would need the bracket which Rock Auto doesn't carry in order for it to be a direct bolt on application.

Okay, I was under the assumption by looking at the picture on Rock Auto's website that the booster is studded for the 73+ style.

Personal preference mostly for the piece of mind to update to today's braking power. I also think it would look alot cleaner than having that conversion bracket that come with some of the kits nowadays, would rather use Mopar parts as replacement than buy one of those kits. But I would need to...

My Dart has 73 conversion disc up front and stock 10" drum in rear with manual brake, my question is has anyone bought a 73+ master cylinder and booster to convert to power brakes? If you removed the master cylinder studs off the firewall and installed that booster setup would everything line up...

LOL, I have had a few darts and never seem to get rid of parts. Think I have 2 dozen different sized Rallye wheels now.

Think I will just swap over to the 75 dart setup to use the LBP Rallye's and sell my KH setup that came on the car along with the SBP Rallye's. 1/2" studs seem to be the better option over the 7/16".

LBP, larger studs, would like to stay with a 14" Rallye up front. I have a set of LBP Rallye's in a 14" I can use.

It's not numbers matching anymore so originality isn't as important. My whole idea behind the question was I assume the 4 piston caliper has better stopping power vs. a 1 piston caliper and since I have both setups can they be incorporated together to take advantage of larger studs and still...

Ive never looked at them side by side. Just curious, where does the issue lie? Rotor size? Caliper bracket?

I have a 70 340 dart with the Kelsey Hayes 4 piston calipers in a small bolt pattern and would like to upgrade to a large bolt pattern rim. I have a disc brake setup out of a 75 dart I can use. My question is can I use the stock 4 piston calipers from my 70 along with 75 spindles and rotors?
