Got it. I’ve never seen that removed. I figured he meant there was no choke cable/linkage. I guess when you live in southern states you probably would never need the plate. But, I would think it would be beneficial in Stockholm unless he doesn’t drive it November - April.

I don't see a throttle plate. Is it a bad picture, my bad eyes or is it actually missing the throttle plate? How does it even run properly let alone start without that?

Hi guys, I need to replace my mechanical fuel pump. I'm not interested in wiring an electronic one. The mechanical choices seem to be a Carter M6866 or Delphi MF0010. Does anyone have an opinion on which is better? 69 - 318 engine

I'm at the stage of filling my tank to 3/4 (avoiding the repair). This will be my second filler neck grommet replacement when I get around to it.

I agree with the fuel pump. I've had many that will give me idle or 35mph but then sputter at higher speeds, when the demand for more fuel is there.

Stock distributor, not electronic.

Brand new Edelbrock Performer 1406 600 cfm carburetor on an Edelbrock Performer intake on a 318 with 302 heads and a mild cam upgrade. Its fluctuating while idling.

My idle fluctuates between 700 and 800 rpm. What is happening? Is that some sort of vacuum leak?
