    FiTech EFI system

After being out of town and getting the parts delivered and weekends without parts and time all at once, I finally got it up and running. Thanks Magnum. I had some issues...I have an MSD Streetfire ignition, FITech, and an MSD billet distibutor. I wanted to run the timing control on the FITech...

    FiTech EFI system

That strange looking thing is part of the vent system, all my fuel system was shoddy and I replaced it all except that vent system tube thing. I had no idea if it was good or bad but it seemed to work. If I had problems it would be the first thing I looked at. There is alot of tubing in it that...

    Thought my pinion seal puked

If you threw that old lock ring in the trash you better hurry and dig thru it, your gonna need it. You luckily can get one here from a member, dam I can't remember his screen name right now even though I bought one from him, solved my leak.

Factory tank vent gone, now what?

So if the cap is pressure relief, do they still have the same problem? I have the tube out now and whie looking at it I see down inside some corrosion, so I'm not putting that back in a clean tank. So my choice is to try to get it dipped and rezinced or buy a new one, now at this point I think...

Factory tank vent gone, now what?

Aaahh thank you goldduster, but you must think I have some idea off what I need, LOL! I'm asking because I don't even know if I need a filler tube vent.

Factory tank vent gone, now what?

Last thing I need to figure out for the FITech setup is the vent system. On my 71 Scamp it had the old four corner tank vent system, which is going to be gone completely. I just got that one all figured out, now useless to me. So the new setup is the FITech with an in tank pump, EFI tank...

Help with 71 vent line, verse 72 and up.

Yep, climbed under there and looked at what it'll take, looks like I should be able to bend it around slightly to get it right. Thanks.

Help with 71 vent line, verse 72 and up.

67Dart, I think your idea of buying two 3/8 feed lines is going to be my best solution with this.

Help with 71 vent line, verse 72 and up.

I do really appreciate all the info. But I was hoping somebody had an answer to my question. Probably not first hand knowledge because it is a sort of different different type situation, but I took a shot in the dark that maybe someone had already ran into this.

    FiTech EFI system

It makes it tough on small business / dealers with no dealer pricing. On the other hand they have come in so hard and fast to sidestep the other companies like Edelbrock with a product that actually is quality AND packed with features, ease of install and use, at an incredible half the price! I...

Help with 71 vent line, verse 72 and up.

MagnumMopar has really got me straightened out with the fuel connections to hook up my EFI system, I decided to go with hard lines from Classic Lines because they will bend me new supply and vent lines both in 3/8" instead of the 1/4" on the vent line, then Magnum's kit {which he actually took...

    FiTech EFI system

Just wanted to add this, I spoke with FITech again yesterday, couple questions. The customer service is the best I have ever experienced, fantastic, they will help you through anything. I was literally told " If you have any problems I'll spend all day on the phone with you to get it right", and...

    Vapor/Charcoal Cannister

Great question, I've never heard it talked about before. My guess is that just like a filter drier on an AC system, once you mess with it, it needs changed.

Plumbing the fuel system, the right way?

Dam it, I keep thinking of things. My budget would be up to $300 on this if I got to actually not have to track things down on assmbly day. So if that included the cleanable filter so be it, if not then the throw away. Thanks.

Plumbing the fuel system, the right way?

If it matters I will be using factory type stee linesl, not stainless, don't feel I really need it in Florida. Main concern is not having to buy tools for this one install, got enough of those tools. I hear that some of the flex line needs replaced often which is fine on a race car but I want...

Plumbing the fuel system, the right way?

Thanks Magnum, your extremely helpful! The thing is I've never done any sort of AN fittings, that;s the reason I was hoping for a kit from someone who does know. Now I know this is a tall order (LOL). it gets worse, I'm hoping for a kit that works for my planned setup, an in-tank pump with a...

Plumbing the fuel system, the right way?

I need replace my hard lines from the tank up, this is part of the plan. I had good luck with Fine Lines using their prebent transmission lines, I'm thinking of calling them and asking if the can make both prebent in 3/8 instead of the vent line in 1/4. That may be a solution to my return.

    FiTech EFI system

Jim, I took my time and did the under hood install this weekend, all the wiring from the kit is very nice, I just took the time to make the wiring after the six pin connector look as nice as the first half of it, some of it I had to shorten for my application. All the wiring was plenty long for...

    FiTech EFI system

A quick note as to the install of the FI. I cannot believe how easy this is, it's really amazing to go from a 45 year old technology ( on my car) to this system that is so completely modern, so easily. These are the things we used to read about in magazines with lots of money and dyno and...

GoldDuster....I still think your car looks cool. Please don't yell at me....LOL And I think your filter is as safe as anywhere I would put it.

Johnny, just read 428 and 429. I can clearly see how frustrating this is for you to try and help. One of the reasons I'm not prejudice, I give equal opportunity for each individual to pi$$ me off. Again, I have to apolagize for the oversite.

    Carburetor help ?

Not enough info here. What are you trying to do with it?

Plumbing the fuel system, the right way?

Yes I am trying to do it right, the wire side should not be too difficult using the search here. It's the plumbing side that concerns me the most. With all the info in this thread now I feel a little more secure.

    FiTech EFI system

It came and I've had a chance to look at it. It's really hard to believe they packed all this into such a small package for this price, I love the concept and I love the hardware. It looks like a big carb until you see some wires coming out, really those wires could get lost in an average engine...

Plumbing the fuel system, the right way?

There is alot of great info here, thanks. MM you know what I spec'd for my tank, if this is going to work for me and truly will be done within a couple weeks, I might wait for your kit. What do you think?

Plumbing the fuel system, the right way?

MM are you talking steel hard lines or what? Connection from the hard lines or flex all the way? I'm definatley interested.

Plumbing the fuel system, the right way?

Ok, wow! Thanks for the the great info. I have knowledge of the terms but never used any of it so half of that sounds like another language. Now I know what my reading material will be for the next few days. Thanks again.

Plumbing the fuel system, the right way?

Thanks guys. So just so I have this straight, I have never plumbed a system front to back before, do I have to go under and plan everything out , fittings, bends, adapters, clamps and all this to make a list? Figure out the thread size, course and all?

Plumbing the fuel system, the right way?

So now that I've taken the FI plunge, does anybody want to point me in the right direction with the best fittings and what nots? Is there a kit? I don't know sizing yet as I have not ordered the tank yet. Lines and fittings of quality here is the name of the game, I think the Earls fittings have...
