Looks like I have an 18 gallon tank. I will try this out. Just means I get to run out of gas again. It looks like I can get a pump for less than the tank of gas. How hard is it to change? Where is it on the car?

So my gauge reads 1/4 when I run out of gas. Someone just told me he thought it was the fuel pump, that the gauge was probably right but the pump could not work once the fuel got low, and that it would get worse. It does take a while to start every time if it has sat more than a couple of hours...

I have the opposite problem. Ran out of gas again today. Gauge said almost 1/4 full when it died on the LA freeway. It will read full fine but never gets to reading empty.
