    Door jam striker

Is missing the bushing on the rod ? is it possible to just replace the bushing or does the entire striker need to be replaced? The door is vibrating at the striker because the bushing is gone. I have not found either a bushing or a striker in line.. Does anyone have some guidance for me..

    What goes on first?

On a 1967 barracuda does the headlight bezel go on first or the grille? I am putting them on, after paint, and I can't remember the order. I have the grilles on but it looks like I won't be able to slide the joint from the bezel onto the grille. It also looks like if I put the bezels on first...

    Repop exterior door handles

That is the best thing to do. Do you know of a source for NOS handles that don't cost as much as the door. My original handles are good, it is just the finish that shows age. I am going to check about plating mine.

    Repop exterior door handles

Everything you said is the same as mine. I am not as patience, as some, so as far as the not sitting flush in the door I found a small notch on the bottom of the repop and I filed, very little, the bottom notch at the bottom of the handle hole in the door and they fit right in. I was really...

    1967 Barracuda hood inserts

    1967 Barracuda hood inserts

Thanks for checking. Mine look good, as I had them re-chromed, but the studs are not good. They would probably stay put if I used silicone, maybe, along with the few studs remaining?

    1967 Barracuda hood inserts

Can the studs, pins or whatever the proper term is for the attaching pot metal studs on the inserts be repaired? Both of my inserts have 3 and 4 broken off. Also the grilles have about 5 of the studs missing from each of them. I think I can figure something out for the grilles but I haven't got...

    $4,000.00 paint job

Well, I am still at it. Like I said, a few months back, I decided to be hands on and did not take to the 4,000 shop. I chose to do it with a friend's help. It is taking quite awhile but the unforseen things we have found and repaired would have changed the 4,000 I am sure. We have had to replace...

Yeah, these are next to impossible to find. I was amazed when I saw these on e-bay last night, they're suppose to be NOS. Price is kinda high but then again you can't find them any where. The only option is to make them, I guess.

I am prepping my car for paint at a friend's shop that has been in the business for over 40 years. What kind of paint did the factory use in the 60's?

The paint distributor will have all that you need. Acrylic enamel, hardener, fisheye remover, etc.. Onestep is rather simple to spray and works well. Prep is all important as with any paint job.
