I went 13.80ish on a set of 235/60/14 Vitours in my mostly stock 68 GTS. They definitely do better off the line aired down with a hard burnout. Those tires now live on my 383/4-speed '66 Coronet and they have been excellent.

They will be fine. If you look at the spec you will see it is 9.50-10" section width with an 8" tread. The 235 60 14 m&h pictured below is 7.5" tread , 9.8" section width on the stock 5.5" wheels the GTS wore since day 1. I have ran them as low a 9 psi without issue. If I run under 13 psi...
