Anybody running 17" Cobra Bullit rims on a Duster

Thanks! That's what I was curious about.

Anybody running 17" Cobra Bullit rims on a Duster

Nope. They're stock wheels off of some of the new mustangs. In the craig'slist add, he has them listed as pony rims, but the internet says that's not what they are called. They are stock 17" rims though, for the new mustangs, 5x4.5"

Anybody running 17" Cobra Bullit rims on a Duster

Wow. There's a lot of back and forth and too and fro here ha... Forgive me for being lazy and not wanting to read all 26 pages, but does someone in here know if 17" mustang pony rims with P215/65R17 tires might fit? If they would require spacers, etc.

wheel back space question 15 x 7 BBP

Are both your front and back tires this same backspace? or just the rears?

What are you runnin on your Dart/Duster?

From the side (this is from when we were painting it). They don't look too bad that way. Certainly not my favorite, but not too bad. It's from behind that I can't stand them. The rims and tires are really narrow. And when you're following the car it looks like one of those old fat people who...

What are you runnin on your Dart/Duster?

Well, why in the hell would they change it by .3 mm? That sucks. EDIT: (wasn't saying you didn't know what you were talking about, was saying why would they change it by that little?) Do you know if this was true for 2010? If so, I guess I'm back rim hunting and rolling on my granny rims for...

Updated due to epic fail..Wheel Opinions please... Big wheel haters should stay away

I like the matte bronze version of the second set linked. Don't let people get you down on these, either. I'd much rather see a duster in a set of big rims (not ghetto rims, just big rims) than one that's been butchered until it can only run on the drag strip. But hey! To each their own, right? :3

What are you runnin on your Dart/Duster?

Indeed. Newer rims. Frankly, I just want something other than the 4 inch wide ones with trash-can-lid hubcaps that I currently have, and there's a guy selling a full set, with tires, very cheap. Those should hold me over until one day I can afford some torque thrusts ;3

What are you runnin on your Dart/Duster?

I'm running stock at the moment, but I had a question for the guys here! Looking at some Chrysler rims. They're 17x7s. less than 4.5 backspace. Overall height is just shy of 28" with the tires on. Will that fit under the front/rear, you think? Seems like the backspacing would be alright, but...

    Fyi...

What year is yours? 4.5 backspacing works fine with no spacers or anything? That would be really good to know as my wheel hunt continues. Thanks for the info!

    Fyi...

These were 15x7, aluminum, with just simple holes bored through. Don't have a pic of mine handy, but here's a picture of someone else's: http://images1.americanlisted.com/nlarge/jeep_cherokee_comanche_parts_125_martinsville_29369085.jpg We also tried a star one on, and it didn't work either.

    Fyi...

For those who were curious before when I posted asking about wrangler rims... They will not fit on a 74 Dart without spacers. Backspace on them is 5.5, where the stocks on mine were 3.5. They rub on the control arm on the front (and would probably rub on the brakes as well, if the arm wasn't...

Jeep Cherokee Rims on a 74 Duster?

Well, I'd still come out alot cheaper than buying new rims, most likely.

Jeep Cherokee Rims on a 74 Duster?

Sorry. It double posted for some reason.

Jeep Cherokee Rims on a 74 Duster?

I suppose I'll just have to check them out. Thanks though! I like them too. Out of curiosity, does anybody know of a spacer or something that might could be used to fix that?

Jeep Cherokee Rims on a 74 Duster?

This isn't a picture of ours, but they're the exact same rims. http://images1.americanlisted.com/nlarge/jeep_cherokee_comanche_parts_125_martinsville_29369085.jpg

Jeep Cherokee Rims on a 74 Duster?

Thanks. I was afraid that that would be the answer though ha. I suppose I'll just have to jack that old thing up and try to get the rims off. Maybe I can bring a hazmat suit home from work. Thanks! Good to know it might have a chance. I like the rims, and it'd save a chunk.

Jeep Cherokee Rims on a 74 Duster?

So, still trudging through this budget restoration of my 74 Gold Duster, and I think I've cut costs enough that I can go ahead and start considering replacements for the stock tires and rims on the vehicle, which are, frankly, pretty sad looking. But, being the penny-pincher that I am, I am...
