Don't mean to but in on post but I am interested in building a stroker motor for my 1969 Dart. I have 1969 340 so it sounds like this flywheel will work is that correct? I would also like to know what is the best year of 360 la block for a donor ?

Oh sorry you have to remove the steering linkage to go through the slip tube as well. I took I off at the end links and the pitman arm.

just put a set on my Dart. no mods needed with the zbar, I did mine on a hoist with the motor in. had to lift the drivers side motor a bit . remove your starter, oil filter and adapter, loosen off motor mounts.

thanks for the help. So what your saying is the tailshaft should come off whithout tranny removal. Thats great news i have removed the trans twice this year to install new clutch etc. I don't want to hall it out again if i don't have to.

Do you have to pull the tranny or can the tailshaft bushing be removed with the tranny in the car.

Does anybody know how much play there should be on the slip yoke or tailshaft side to side movement on a A-833 transmission. I have a major wobble in the driveshaft i can wiggle the tailshaft in the transmission probably 2 0r 3 mm. seems to much . the transmission was just rebuilt with new...

Went to hurst website and downloaded form they now charge 250 dollars for a OEM shifter.

Hi All i have a 1969 dart with a 340 ,A-833 tranny. I got a call from a Guy who has a 5 speed with bellhousing from a Dakota. Has any body put one in An A body? Are the splines the same and tailshaft length? Does anybody have any comments on this swap? will it take the HP from the 340 with...

Dont Know if this will help but i had clutch problems and found the bearings in the mount for all 3 pedals worn. I mean the ones were the pedals hinge on. hope this helps.
