    Thanks for all the information guys! I've never seen the steel "half ball" before. So which one is the original design? Or were both designs used, just different years?

    I was thinking one made of aluminum or brass would be great. Unfortunately, I don't have a lathe. Guess I need to start making some phone calls... Probably need to order another rubber one to get the dimensions too.

    Has anyone had trouble with the clutch rod adjustment grommet melting? I have a small block with TTI headers. It has at least an inch or so all around it. I was surprised to see it melt. Anyone make one out of aluminum?
