I think you'd be correct. If you're serious on radials, just go fab'd 9", and skip all the wasted money and blown up stuff. For street use, I'd just drive what you have and try not to hoon too much while I saved for the 9". S/F....Ken M

100LL is good stuff; if you need more detonation resistance, add a little MMT, watch plugs carefully, it goes brick red when you have too much. Torco Accelerator is a good source of MMT; read the MSDS, a little goes a long way. The Amsoil octane boost has MMT also, not sure how much, again...

That's cool, I was just guessing based on past engines. I usually look for vacuum reading at WOT to see if it wants more carb; on a street driven vehicle, sounds like you're doing good. The concept for the fuel for the road makes a lot of sense. S/F....Ken M

Try 100 L/L av gas, if that still isn't enough, add a little MMT with Lucas, Amsoil octane boosters or Torco Accelerator and read plugs closely, they'll get brick red if you add too much. 500 cubes with an 825cfm carb seems awful small. S/F....Ken M
