    Anyone done a strong 400 build ?

Why so big?? A 470 is very easy to build, and can be quite stout.

    Is this car worth 8000

    The glory days. '64-'65

Always read that the 427 Thunderbolt was'nt really very stable somehow.... 100 original cars, 40 wrecked at the track. No way for me to quantify..... I do know that Dodge/Plymouth "B"'s look very stable at the track, and happy to fly lol.

Theory about 727 and wheels up launch

Deep pan?? Deep pan pickup?? Some people have theories on NOT using the deep pickup, but I don't agree with them.

How much HP and what do you think it will run.

Mid to low 10's if the the combo is finished correctly, and the chassis is also prepped to go that fast. In a typical street car, somewhere in the 11's.

    What will it run

Just under 300 horse, as according to Wallace dragstrip calculator, given the 3250# car running 13.0 @ ~105mph. Not meant to be an end all, be all. Just a tool. Your motor is probably cranking out a little more than that, just needs a little launch improvement to utilize a little better...

    What will it run

Unfortunately "first time out in a while" is a factor lol. Let us know what it runs and weel reverse engineer the rest.

    Low gear set 904, pro’s and Con’s

My Big block Dart has a low gear set for the 727.... It was expensive, but the car is heavy, launches nice now and the fun factor is improved.

    Racing Harness Recertification?

I've never tried it....but would have to agree about the liability issue.... How could they tell if they are good without some level of a destructive test??? You can't tell anything by looking at them.... they aren't cotton, so unless you can swear that they've been stored in the dark, and...

Mopar 413/426 Max Wedge block casting number confusion

Mopar 413/426 Max Wedge block casting number confusion

My two cents, no offense. I'm thinking you are wrong. You really think the factory bored and machined your motor to prep it to be a 426, then stamped it incorrectly identifying the engine for what it is?? Why?? How do you know original head gasket?? Crusty valve cover gaskets mean it got hot...

413 Max Wedge Engine engine block controversy continues......

If you are saying that you want to make a faithfull reproduction of a Maxie engine, as long as the block casting is correct, then you should know the valve notching tool, which was created by Ed Iskedarian, can still be purchased today.

413 Max Wedge Engine engine block controversy continues......

V is code for 1964 build. 41 is code for 413..... would be 42 if a 426. Did they make 516 heads in 63??? I was expecting pedestal stands and maybe 200 heads?? I guess 6 bolt covers would be right for a late 63 build?? Not Maxie anything there, sans maybe the block. Forging number on crank and...
