    66 barracuda...going for a different look

Diabolical is the word that comes to mind when I look at these most recent pictures. What kinda headlamps are those?

My "new" '74 Duster- or why I need a project like a hole in the head

it's definitely a cowl leak that I have. taped over it in the last rainstorm and didn't get a drop inside. Just need to clean it all out. First, gotta find the hole! (as per usual)

My "new" '74 Duster- or why I need a project like a hole in the head

You know, I know for a fact I have never noticed that driver's side box in my car. And I would have, cause I've looked there, and I've dug all through the wires hanging there... I'm starting to wonder if maybe it's been removed entirely, and that's why it leaks on that side of my car.

My "new" '74 Duster- or why I need a project like a hole in the head

Thanks for the tips! And yeah, pics will help. people have told me about said boxes before, but by god I just can't seem to find the darn things!

My "new" '74 Duster- or why I need a project like a hole in the head

Two questions! #1, where can one find these rallye dash frames/ dashes. Is a junk yard the best place to look? Or does someone repop? #2, would you mind taking a picture of /exactly/ where you had to go, what you had to remove/open/etc to get to your cowl to clean it out? Thanks!

Following intently in case I ever decide to do this sort of dash swap in mine. Good luck. Like the progress.

    A body Rat rod

I thought a rat rod was a hot rod that looked ratty, usually t-buckets and stuff. How I visualize the words: Hot Rod- Clean, sleek, oversized engine, flashy paint. Rat Rod- Held together by tack welds and bondo, almost always flat black or no paint, oversized engine.

    A body Rat rod

Indeed. Murdering out a car, I thought, was pretty much only for newer vehicles. there's very few that it even looks remotely decent on, IMO. But all of the ones I have seen have had gloss black paint, not flat.

    74 Gold Duster (WIP)

Took the seat out today, learning in the process that, apparently, these cars had an electronic seat belt lock on them, and they wouldn't crank if you weren't buckled up. Thankfully, seams someone disabled that long ago. Or maybe it's just not working, like so many other of my electrical...

    74 Gold Duster (WIP)

Brother still hasn't uploaded my pictures yet. Took the car out today to get some miles on it. Replaced some of the lights that had blown, but that didn't fix them, for some reason. I don't really understand, because it has power at the socket, but the bulbs won't light. Lost a hubcap at one...

    Project Riddler's Ride - 1976 Plymouth Duster

I don't know if it's been mentioned, but I'm going to be very dissapointed if this isn't green with black accents. (Maybe some question marks.)

In-progress pics and bone-chilling tales of lessons learned the hard way coming soon! This was shot from the camera phone.

    74 Gold Duster (WIP)

Here we go. Backtracking a bit, but finally got /some/ pictures online. So I'll post the highlights of what I have. As you can see the paint smooths itself out really well. These were the next day; post sanding. Painted the interior pieces I got in. God. You have just got to...

    74 Gold Duster (WIP)

Quick shot I took this morning. The dew makes it look odd. Anyways, got a full coating on last night, using the roller method. I'm not going to lie. Applying it yesterday afternoon, it looked rough. But this morning it was really smooth. I was /highly/ impressed. Today will be wet sanding, spray...

    74 Gold Duster (WIP)

Good to know there's other in the area working on it! Painting began yesterday, and will continue throughout the week. Yeah. We may not know what we're doing.

My "new" '74 Duster- or why I need a project like a hole in the head

I bet! Hunting cars here in Mississippi is a different sort of game. What with the 90% humidity all year long...

    My 1979 warlock 340

I would make it a resto-mod. Modernize it some ^^ Maybe hot rod it out, chop it some, and put some modern interior touches? That's just me.

    1967 Barracuda Notch

Wow. That's alot of rust, but I sure am glad someone is saving that thing! Love the notch-backs. Will be watching. EDIT: Can we get some overall pictures?

    74 Gold Duster (WIP)

Well, me and my father spent /way/ too long yesterday (2+ hours) trying to put the send hose for the power steering on (The damn thing just wouldn't fit! Had to move the whole pump, attach it, then move it back.) Only to crank it up, and find that the return hose is also leaking. Alot. So, going...

    74 Gold Duster (WIP)

It's just the picture. I was using lineart from J-MacsMopars. It also doesn't have the window louvers I hope to have for it.

    74 Gold Duster (WIP)

Nah. I don't think I'll be putting a top back on with this incarnation. Pretty sure we're going with the black. Looks clean and sleek. Tried to get the wife to consider the "tank tread" variant, but she just wasn't a fan haha. So these will likely be the stripes.

    74 Gold Duster (WIP)

Well! I'm finally back from Louisiana (was TDY with work). Got to poke around the car some. Some rust has cropped back up on the roof. It's shallow, surface rust, but still annoying. Apparently, I didn't have enough primer on it. I'm going to fix that, and then, I found a guy who is offering me...

    '76 Duster 225 resto!

Grats on a nice find! Looking forward to it. Please, detail everything you do with the engine. There are others with 225s who want to know.

    74 Gold Duster (WIP)

A little. I'm not exactly extremely knowledgeable with most things automotive, but I do get what you're saying here. The only dissapointing thing, is that these spacers seem like they'll be almost as much as new rims.
