''I'm going to fix it up someday'' The resurrection of a '74 Dart Sport......

One last thing before you buy a clutch fan... do a little junkyard shopping and grab the electric fans off some of the new stuff. Some of these move enough CFM to power an ultralight aircraft! There is a post here today about using a Ford Contour fan set up, and I've read a Lincoln Mark 7 has a...

My "new" '74 Duster- or why I need a project like a hole in the head

You know the "It's just going to be a driver" thing is a lie we all tell ourselves don't you?

My "new" '74 Duster- or why I need a project like a hole in the head

Really a good build. Well thought out and executed and some good ideas there. Since you aren't a stranger to AFCO products, and if you want to adjust your rear height, consider adding some rear spring sliders and get rid of friction and 30 year old shackles to boot. Also negates the change in...

''I'm going to fix it up someday'' The resurrection of a '74 Dart Sport......

It's been a while since I looked in and you have covered a lot of ground since then. Nice to see it as a runner again! That has to be fun! Ideas for your heat problem. Replace existing thermostat with 160F unit if cold weather operation isn't a big thing. You could block off the heat...

Neat project.. might be a good idea to replace the freeze plugs lest they leak after you get it installed.. especially the ones in the bellhousing area... it sure will be easier now than once you get it into it's shiny new home! They may look good but can rust through from the inside.. trust me...

By the way, if you have filth to get rid of, hit the Wal-mart and buy a gallon of this stuff and a good spray bottle.. about 1/2 an inch of this and the rest water will kick the snot of of grime. Not many products I'd recommend but this and Rain-X I do. If there is grease under the paint...

Otateral, I found a bunch of pics posted on Moparts the other day in a Valiant thread.. including about 8 that were the same car I use as my avatar and the Fridginator poster I made.. that "plain old white paint" is starting to grow on me again. Not like I've made a decision though, and it's...

Well, this isn't the one I was looking for, but this appears to be a candy tangerine color.. sorry about the watermarks, but you would have to pay Shutterstock a heap o' money to get the unmarked versions. Still, you get the idea... Guaranteed they won't miss you coming with this color!

Still mystified over the blue wheel thing..is blue a gang color where you live? Red vs blue, bloods vs crips or something like that? Never lived wear I had to worry about such things.. just curious. Another color to consider would be that metallic copper they have been putting on late model...

Take a look at mine here at bangshift.com.. the site is a hoot! Lots of the bizarre, the cruel and the just plain sick and unusual in the world of hotrodding. Lots of "real guy" content if you're sick of reading about billet ashtrays and such. Here's a link to My Garage...

I had mine called a Rambler, a Nova and a Roadrunner when it was sitting at a friend's shop with the grille and all the lights removed to prep it for paint. Not so odd I guess.. they are all built for a similar purpose and (except for a RR) in the same size class. Funny how grandma cars make...

Todd V actually lived in Larry's neighborhood.. a few steets west and a bit north. He graduated the same year as I did.. saw him occasionally after graduation on the street and at auto shows but it's been 20+ years since the last time. The story I heard about the Chevelle was it used to be a...
