If I remember correctly the switch has a common weak point whare they crimp the body together that always leaks also with the slant iff the sensor came out their would be no oil in the crank case in a matter of seconds. it like a 1/2 hole in the oil pump

I got a huge increase from my 2 bbl. compared to the single plus much more power

I was getting around low 20's then I switched to a 2 bbl manifold and a motocraft 2100 carb and got just below 30 MPG. If you are getting bad MPG you might need a carb rebuild, very common week point on the slant. 1 bbl is way to small so it bogs down your power and MPG.

well actually you can get the o.d. trans out of any A body 75 and newer the best way to tell is the alum case, also the truck version has an alum main case but an iron tail stock I think thier is someone on slantsix.org that is selling one now really reasonable also thier is one on ebay aswell

you would be fine running the original tranny you would just feel the new cam a little better

that cam should be a good cam I would recomend going with a 4 speed with that cam or a stall converter
