Which factory oil pans will work with a 440 in a 70 Dart? Are there any ? also----Are there any aftermarket pans ( BB A-body) out there that are NOT deep race pans? Ive already got a deep Moroso 7 qt. Need something smaller for street use .

i dont hear any noise or clatter. my lash doesnt move . I check it twice a year. Hughes solid cam/ harland sharp rockers. I highly recommend , when you are ready to buy a cam , HUGHES engines. They are GREAT guys to talk to --great customer service -- and MOPAR ONLY .

oh - i see - my mistake . I didnt know "Bumper to Bumper " was a machine shop . It sounded like a o'reilly or auto parts store.

not sure what assembly costs--ive always done it myself . "I found a guy who works in the back of a bumper to bumper that is retired and does the machine work part time. Seems like a great guy. " I would not do that--no way---im just being honest--take it to a reputable Machine Shop--not...

Glad to see the fan only draws 14 amps. A couple weeks ago I was racing in brutal conditions . 96 degrees and tons of humidity . Un-bearable . The ol HHR fan did great , i think the highest temp i got was 205 or so .

agree--the Schumacher mounts work good, but VERY over priced. I wish i had access to some before i paid $150 for them............they look exactly like factory steel mounts. If you need a "torque limiter" just make one yourself---super easy and about $8 in parts from home depot.

I had similar issues and it was the starter. The one giving me troubles was maybe 2 years old and mostly saw track time. i also like the idea of checking the timing--too much initial will do that sometimes

whats your performance goal? i wouldnt dump a bunch of $ into old iron heads when you can get aluminum 440source Stealths or Edelbrock Rpm's

There was an issue with the Stealths and gasket overhang in the chamber. Dont know if they corrected it or which heads you have. CALL 440 source and talk to them before you buy gaskets

for some reason i couldnt get those morosos to work on my car. 3 different sets of valve covers. Eddy rpm heads . all leaked i stuck on some $9 corks , no more leaks. I think my car hates those blue ones ......=P~

agree with the above . I got to test the Hhr Saturday . I went 6 rounds and the car never got over 180 . It used to go to 220 easily with a 17" electric or the 17" flex fan. Im more than pleased with it :cheers:

Just finished putting a HHr fan ($60 new) in my 70 dart / RB tonight. It sits in there nice after i moved the radiator forward a bit. I also trimmed all the plastic off I could to help it fit If you dont move the rad, there is no more than a 1/4" clearance :shock: Heres some pics -

I have 2" Hooker fenderwells on mine . Love em. the drivers side collector sits petty low...but that can be fixed. changing plugs / starter , and the headers themselves is a breeze.

that sucks--ive used fed ex for 10 years and have had 0 problems. last year i had 2 boxes that had TRACKING NUMBERS somehow lost by the usps . :angry5:

where did you buy them? i hate to hear this as Im getting ready to buy a set. did they ship UPS ? That would explain them getting beat to hell.

493 , w/ 4:10 and Hoosier 29.5 x 10.5 slicks / SS springs. Hooks very hard on the track----On the street its like driving in snow when i step into it ....... :-D

15 x 4 with 165R15 . yes they rub--i dont care--not a huge deal to me.

My 8.75 lasted about half a season at the track . It was a fresh rebuilt 742. Of course , it grenaded on the starting line in the semi-final round .....:angry7: I went Dana 60 . No more worries. :read2:

agreed .....moper is the man.. go with the modern parts. unless you have a set of already , ported, iron killer heads.....
