    Schumaker vs TTI Headers

I tried to contact Mike at Schumacher and no reply. Since I have the TTI’s already just decided to stay with them. I don’t have to change the starter or plugs every month. Besides, they sound very nice :thumbsup:

    Schumaker vs TTI Headers

X2 Currently have TTI long tubes and it’s PITA to change spark plugs or reach the starter. Looking around for options. Even considering manifolds

    (Slams pedal) skrrrrrrrrrrrppp....

For my 440 Barracuda I used a 73+ disc brake setup up front and scarebird disc brake conversion kit for the rear brakes. More than 8 years running with no issues. Stops great every time!

Did my 440 died? - Locked Engine?

It spun and threw away the rod bearing for cylinder #3. Now I'm just figuring out whether to rebuild this 1971 440 (forged internals) or rebuild a 1976 440 I have laying around (cast crank)

Did my 440 died? - Locked Engine?

Hi there! My 1968 Barracuda has a 440 engine that came out from a running 1971 Chrysler New Yorker. Before making the 440 swap in the Barracuda the heads were refreshed, changed all 16 valves, added a Mopar Performance 4452783AE camshaft (Adv. Duration 268/284, Lift .450/.458 ) timing chain...

    swapping a 440 into a a body

Brake improvement such as a disc brake swap is a must to have in a Big Block A-Body. You could either get the disc brake setup from a newer 73+ A-Body or from the aftermarket (Wilwood, MP Brakes, Scarebird).

Thinkin about putting a 440 in my dart?

What engine do you have in the Dart right now? Depending if your starting point is a /6 or SB you may want to think on bigger brakes, bigger radiator, stronger rear end, 3/8" fuel line... Am I missing something??

    power brakes and power steering

About the P/S TTI claims that this is possible using their tri-y headers. About the P/B I saw an early BB A-body once that had a custom fabricated offset bracket that placed the brake booster aside, making space for the big block.

    Big block ?

IMO Cubic Inches Talk. Go 440.

    v8 kframe vs Schumacher kit

True! When I mount a 440 in my '68 barracuda I decided to use the schumacher mounts since it's not that easy to find a big block a body K member at the yard. Either way, had to modify the passenger side mount to make the engine fit. I am using TTI Headers and the right header at first touched...
