It works independently of the transmission. All it needs is the neutral safety switch to be plugged in, or grounded. Most guys I built these for over the years were using the 904 or 727 transmissions. If you want to use a 500/518, you'd just have to wire up an overdrive switch to it.

yeah, youd have to make your own bracket to mount the CPS, but it could be done. Id go ahead and use the whole magnum engine as a personal choice, but some decent fab work could make it work.
