    The Mack truck

Brockway has a devoted but small following. I know they have, or at least had pre-covid, an annual convention every summer in Cortland. Mack had bought out Brockway several years before they shut them down. So there was probably a great deal of consolidation of design resources. I'm pretty...

    Lack Luster Brakes

So I made some time last night to look into the charger and found a couple interesting things. First off, like I vaguely remember, the adjusting lever was not contacting the star on the adjuster. I am chalking this up to mismatched parts from the original components mixed with todays revised...

Did the 1979 Lil Red Express come with an air pump?

I bought an all original 79 W150 w/360 4bbl. It was a California truck and had an air pump. Single exhaust w/cat. Obviously not a LTE truck, but they were putting air pumps on some models. Long ago I had an 82 D150 w/a 318. It had the diverter valve system that Rumble mentioned.

HEI Conversion Question and Holley 2280 Lingering Issue

So, I finally got it sorted. Pulled the distributor and found that the reluctor was contacting the pick occasionally. Pulled the reluctor and got a new one off another distributor I had. Cleaned that reluctor with a points file to make sure all the tips were square. Then checked the gap on...

    Shock me..

Because they are adjustable. He wants a nice ride. You can’t possibly get a nice, tuned ride if you can’t adjust the shocks. Would you buy a carb that you can’t change the jets on? Same thing.

2017 ram 2500 broken manifold bolts

I agree that the failures are mechanical/thermal fatigue related, but I don't see any potential for a shear component. The major forces are acting on the z-axis of the bolt, not shear in the x-y axes. It's a moot point really. The fastening system isn't reliable enough and either didn't go...

    Friggin thieves

So, come in to work early to load up to head to the track. Pull truck trailer around to load golf cart and car. Go to pull out ramps to load golf cart first… friggin someone stole the ramps that slide out from the side. They even bothered to put the chain and pins back so I wouldn’t notice them...
