    Coil...standing up or laying down?

The factory had many of them laying down like my 69 340 Dart and the hemi cars. I've kept the same set up all these years and have not had any issue with them leaking......so far that is.

    Sun tach rebuild

I had my Tach rebuilt and made fully electronic by Williamson's Instruments Inc. Located in Chester Arkansas. Phone 479-369-2551. Sent in the sending unit Eb-9A along with the tach and he made the sender electronic and checked and cleaned the tach. Nice steady needle and no complaints...

Mine came with just one but had the wiring in the loom for both horns. I found a nice one and installed it and it sounds a lot better with both.

    Need advice on starter problem

This will sound crazy to you, but make sure the bolt/nut that bolts it to the bell housing are tight. Mine worked loose after a while and it would hit really hard when I turned the key to start. Just happened to notice the starter move a little when I was using my remote starter to bump the...

    Ignition backlighting 69 Swinger.

69 Darts didn't have key in buzzers. I'm thinking those came along in 1970? when the ignition switch was placed in the steering column.

    Ignition backlighting 69 Swinger.

My 69 Dart never had a illuminated ignition switch. Never heard of that for a 69 Dart as an option either. Not sure what it could be for, but if it was part of the dash light circuit, it should be off when the headlight switch is off. Trace it back and see where it goes and how it's wired in.

The HEI Video is online now

I checked this coil on the Napa site and it says on the outside of the coil to use with a external resistor. I thought this setup bypassed the resistor. So would this coil work without a resistor with this setup?? Oops, I see listed under the info "w/o external resistor". But would this old...

    Adding a Second Horn

Make sure the added horn has a good clean mounting surface and is grounded good. I had the same problem when I added the second horn to my Dart. The low note would work by itself but not when I plugged in the hi note horn. After a lot of dinkin around and adjusting and switching one for the...

    Timing Moving? Anyone tried this??

I put one on my distributor and it helped a lot. Also you might want to check out the up and down play in the distributor shaft itself. Mine had about .020 play. That will also add to the timing jump along with the drive gear walk. Best to eliminate the play in both.

    Distributor installation

angeldust72 If you need to check the air gap on the reluctor, make it easy on yourself and check it with the distributor out of the engine. It's a whole lot easier to do at a work bench where you can really get at it and get a clear picture of what you're doing. Once it's set, it won't change...

    Distributor installation

demonseed was right except that when you feel air pressure on your finger as you are turning the crank damper the engine is coming up on the compression stroke, not exhaust. Which is where you need the number one cylinder to be at TDC with the crank damper on the zero degree mark. As stated, the...

    '69 Dart Control Cluster...

Usually but not always, when the indicator on the dash stays lit, it means that either the front or rear bulb on that side has one side of the element broken. 1157 bulbs are known to do that. I had the same issue with my 69 Dart. Headlights and talights worked but when I used the turn signal...
