I used a KWICK wire kit...inexpensive and robust....BUT with any of the kits, you should invest in a manual that has wiring diagrams FOR YOUR CAR. adapting is a crap shoot without one.... good Luck

well hold on...... you can use ANY wire as long as it is the same gauge AND the same color as the wire being replaced You do not want to replace a 14 gauge wire with an 18 gauge wire under stress it will likely burn..... most auto parts stores carry different gauges of stranded wire....as does...

Arturo..... it was likely at the din plug bulk connector look for charring to determine the actual spot....then you can just replace the wires that shorted/burned ...a lil time consuming but inexpensive and functional ...just be sure to use the same color wire....

A previous version ( before I bought the Pertronix) had the rev limiter.....didn't work well at all, died, choked.....big recall.... big POS!! tossed it out and used regular everyday Pertronix...works just peachy and does not cost arm & leg Point being if you are running that high of RPMs you...

I use a pertronix unit in my 67 428 Bonneville vert, it is the hall effect one and it has performed flawlessly for the past 5 years.....I would not hesitate to buy another one...keeps the original look and performs as good as, if not better than points. hope this helps

depending on the model...there is a unit that attaches to the tranny where the speedo cable goes and wires go up to your speedo. The unit produces electrical magnetic pulses called a "hall effect" and they are pretty decent and accurate mine are made by Autometer

OK you cannot remove JUST the knob.....you have to pull the headlight knob all the way out ( headlights ON) then reach under the dash and push the button on the headlight switch( kinda hard to push )once you have it all the way down push the headlight knob back in a lil and push the button down...
