Yes that is exactly how the alt is setup. Heavy wire on power output stud.

As far as what you're saying there doesnt appear to be any wire going to starter relay. Have no idea what's going on with my working at the moment. When I first got it back the guy had everything wired to 12v lol.

Theoretically, the car should stay on with battery terminal taken off correct? It is turning off as soon as battery terminal is disconnected. I am going to see the amperage draw and try to keep checking what needs to be done.

Thank you, I will try that now. Have no idea why they put the ground from fender to the alternator "gnd" it was like that when I bought it back from someone on craigslist. Use to be mine in 2009-2010. I'm just left fixing all the issues on it.

Sorry but does not matter what it looks like. It is going to the ground on the alternator. You arent telling me anything new other than what he has already stated lol.

Hi Fabo i am currently looking at wiring harness for the engine bay and im not exactly finding my year but i found a 71 dart engine bay wire harness. Is this the same? Or is there different things on this than my 72.

Doesn't spin anymore with just touching the positive cable. Just get a clunk and I can see its shooting the gear out to flywheel but it's not spinning the motor.

I might have wiring issues. I put in a temporary ignition. And changed the starter relay. Now I only get the starter to clunk. Doesn't spin just clunks now. I have the starter out now, what am I looking at inside of it that is stuck?

Forgot to put all that in but it's a 72 dart swinger. Has a 318 with a 904 trans. The one going to starter is the green wire. As well as one of the black wires going to the tiny terminal on the starter. I disconnected one of the wires where you say it should only be one wire, but now the key...

So there's only supposed to be one wire to the relay? The center square terminal only had to have one wire? I believe it's for the ignition switch. The column does not work btw. Don't know why it doesn't work either.

Hi, and not exactly push button but another ignition switch hidden. Uses a key. But I know one of the wires runs to the ignition that's on it now. Could that be it?
