I know of that car. A black one I believe. I saw it run low 10’s at 138 mph. Definitely impressive!! The 520 has a 3:55 final drive where as the 555 has a 3:89. Both just as strong.

520... It held up. The reduction in the final drive helped on the street. I know that there are faster people out there too running the same transmission. It was time to let it go. It went to a good home in Maryland.

The other end was scary at the MPH. The front end got a little "light". That car was FUN on the street. Not much could beat it. It was the lack of available parts for the transmission is what got me a little concerned. Hence the sale.

I sold it a few years ago. It was time to let it go. This was the last pass of my ownership of that car. I sold it in Jan 2018. Lots of fun to drive BUT a PITA to fix. https://flic.kr/p/27kiVZs

Thank you all! It’s a 340, 8 3/4” rear 3:23 geared and 904(I think) automatic. It goes pretty good, my guess is a low 14- high 13 sec 1/4 mile car. This is my first automatic “toy”. It was weird not stepping on a clutch anymore…

Hello everyone, just picked up a new to me vehicle yesterday. It’s a 65 Plymouth Valiant. Unfortunately it’s almost winter here and I may not be able to drive it again till spring . The plan for next year is just a “shakedown” year with a few minors “fixes” here and there. Here are a few pics.

I know.... my wife tells me the same thing " that car will never be as fast as the Omni" Well to make sure that doesn't happen I have a few parts that I am listing that is already in my possesion for the swap: 340 block with main studs w2 heads and intake (obviously) 4" stroker crank...
