Anyone running a cable throttle body on a 5.7?

The adapter is 92mm, did not see any larger or smaller when I was doing mine, so just went with the 92mm TB. Quick and easy. I did see where FAST had a TB which did not need the adapter, but it was pricey.

Anyone running a cable throttle body on a 5.7?

440 - yes, I am using an Ebay throttle body and a car 5.7 intake. EFISource has the adapters for this conversion. https://www.efisource.com/wp/shop/gen-3-hemi-throttle-body-adapter/ 92mm Throttle body + TPS IAC Throttle Position Sensor For LSX LS LS1 LS2 LS7 | eBay

Yes I did, I have done two or three of these with the Gold Box. Only issues I have are: 1. Usually the MAP is backwards and will not let the car idle - simple as swapping wires 2. No support for transmissions 3. Have to use a drive by cable set up. They sell an adapter for LS type throttle...

Sorry for my tangent, but yes you need to notch the pinch weld with the QA1 and factory K. I took mine to about an 1/8 inch from frame and put a quick bead with my Mig. I did an E-body with a factory K and needed same body modification as well. ALSO - put a hole in the lower frame for the...

Ron, I had a /6 71 K at my disposal, and I was trying to go with Schumackers /6 to Gen III mounts. At the time it was not revealed Schumacker was going out of business, and I had the mounts on order for about 3 months? When I finally got fed up with waiting, I tried to find a suitable matching...

Thought I would bring this thread forward, seems there has been a lot of Gen III swaps on FABO. Have the car up, running and driving as of now. Working out the bugs, building other projects and building a shop, so been a busy summer - but no racing. One issue I am working on is binding in...

    100 Dollar Hemi!

Not sure the intent of the build. One thing is, the Eagle 5.7 falls on it face about 6,100 rpm in stock form, this I know from past experience. I really like the 274 cam, and if I was going max power or had to buy a $500 cam, that would be my route. However, my goal was best dollar to HP...

Thank you - Logan, what sender did you use? I am using a Tank Inc - factory ohm supposedly (73/10). I figure if I can not get it figured out, I would do the manual calibration.

A little progress. I purchased a dash pad from Ebay and used Herb's Part to match interior color (F5 Dark Green). The color was spot on and wonderful to use. They make some claims about runs, drying etc, well they are accurate. Also installed the new gauge cluster and SpeedHut gauges. These...

Oil pressure not registering on Dakota digital gauge.

Not sure how to check the sensor other than replacing it with new one. Here is a link to one on Ebay: OEM Mopar Genuine Oil Pressure Sending Unit Jeep Dodge CHRYSLER 3.6l 5.7l for sale online | eBay

Oil pressure not registering on Dakota digital gauge.

Did you check the sensor? Dodge sensors fail constantly. I have a 2007 SRT and dropped oil pressure with my daughter driving. Instead of pulling over, she drove home and told me (I panicked). But car was not making any noises and made it 30 miles. Sensor failed, and no did not cut engine...

Durango hemi vs car hemi timing cover?

My experience, I have done an A Body (71 Demon) and E Body (70 Cuda), both with car timing covers. 1. Intake manifold: Car you can use both truck and car intakes, Truck version, you can only use truck 2. Alternator: Car you need to trim the frame rail. Both Mopars I trimmed back to the...

Good morning all, Well as with life, build took a little change in direction. Over the summer neighbor passed away. We had been working on an LS swapped K20. When he passed, the family did not want it and viola - I have a new basket case project. Other than eating into my project space and...

The problem with the front sump pan would be the cross bar on the QA1 - see photo. Rear sump would hit steering link.

Well made more progress on this build, however I did get sidetracked with another non-Mopar project which took up some time. Anyways - finally dropped the rear end, tank and bumper. Replaced the tank with a TanksInc setup which looks nice. The bumper I ordered through Summit, and should be...

Thank you - understand and see that now in the pictures. Question, did you use the factor shift column shift linkage? I believe the lower z type-bar should clear the the headers (I think - will need to verify) and what oil gauge did you use? I just bought a speed hut, I think I am going to...

R&D - Yes, I will get a couple of pictures for you - absolutely, it will take a day or two. 408 - That is the plate I used, two things I believe contributes to it - one, the holes where not spot on and second the Boss Hog convertor used the larger bolts, so needed a little adjustments. Also...

    QA1 K and Gen III

Made a little progress on discovery with the QA1 with TTI mounts, TTI headers, manual box, factory cooler lines, 727, and remote filter. Biggest issues and not all are related to the QA1 K are: Manual box is very close, paper thin space between TTI's and box. Remote oil set up - could not use...

Subime - Thank you, I have read your post, you do nice work, but I agree, there are builders on this page who do phenomenal work. And I agree on HDK set up, but I would need to save more aluminum cans if I go that route.

Thanks Kiddart1 - It is going into a 71 Demon. I will look over in Moparts. I have the TTI's already and hear you on the Jeep headers, the information was a little sketchy in that area, so I went with a solid known with TTI's. Note - I have done a 5.7 swap in an E-body, so there is...

Who has used a QA1 on their Gen III swap in an A Body? Any shortcoming's, special concerns or gotchas one should be worried about? I plan on using the TTI mounts and factory biscuits. Also, will I have to do a remote filter, stock location or will a 45 degree work? or am I Will Robinson on...

    A500/A518 to Gen-III

Clay thanks - my set up is a DBC, so I believe I will be using a Lokar kick down pedal cable. My recollection from my last swap, finding or building a bracket was key. also routing of the cable. This is a picture I found on the internet.

Ronald, I agree - how is the 727/904 kick down being addressed with the Gen III EFI swap? One possibility is a manual valve body?
