    K member swap question

Here are a few more pictures I just took with my phone. In the first one you can see the position on the driver's side and in the next two can are able to see the passenger mount. If you look you can see the floor right through the passenger side mount.

    K member swap question

Just took a look at the car and the hood liner has an impression from the air cleaner, so now I'm also beginning to think that it is higher. I can measure the balancer to the frame rails as suggested, does anyone know what those measurements should be?

    K member swap question

I didn't notice the height, I'll check it when I get home. I know the fan is not centered in the shroud. It's very close to the driver's side and about 1 1/2" from the passenger side. I'll look at it up and down too.

    K member swap question

Yep, got it from Slappy a stand up guy. But he didn't do this work, except for general improvements the car is the way he got it about 8 years ago. I'm not in a huge hurry to make the change but am looking at parts for when the day gets here. I know me and I know it will bug me if it isn't right.

    K member swap question

Wish I was at the car with my camera. On the passenger side it is not a typical biscuit and I am sure this is not the stock v8 motor mount. I could put a small orange through the space between the k member and the motor. The vin on this car is slant six and I know the 6 cylinder k member motor...

    K member swap question

I need some advice. My new 70 Duster has a 360 but the car was born with a /6. After looking closely I see that the original /6 K member is still in the car because it has a motor swap mount kit, the one that pushes the motor about 1 1/2" to the drivers side. It only leaves about 1/4" header to...

    Lower Rear Shock Mount Question

I have a 70 Duster with a 7-1/4" rear end that is getting scrapped soon. I also have a 72 Demon with an 8-3/4" rear end that doesn't have the lower shock mounts. Is there any difference in the two? Can I keep the shock mounts from the 7-1/4" and use them with the 8-3/4" rear end? If not does...

    Switching to 8 cylinder

Absolutley, as soon as I can get started. I'm just gathering parts and info right now. It was going to be a 5.7 Hemi conversion but I think I've changed my mind and will have a 408 built from a 1970 340 block that I've found. I'm getting excited.

    Switching to 8 cylinder

I am removing a 225 from a Duster and going with a 340. I'm pretty sure I'll have to change the K member, do I need to change all of the suspension parts also?
