Thanks for the info, I'm in the same process right now. Getting ready to weld in new floor pans & lower rear 1/4's. It's about time I got started.

I painted a 86 Dodge Daytona w a gallon of white. That's including engine bay & everything. Could have used another quart to repair a few mistakes, but it was my first paint job & on a budget. I got the paint from NAPA. just over $100 for paint, reducer & hardener.

They are making the POR-15 in a uv resistant formula now too. don't know what the cost difference is though.

That's what I thought he was talking about - The rail itself. I'm thinking of doing the same thing to mine. Eliminate the rail to smooth out the lines.
