While I had the carpet out of the car I decided to refresh the seat belts too, they were badly faded from the sun. I used a rattle can of fabric dye. Works perfect and now looks like new!

Good job, looks great. I did this conversion many years ago on my old Sport. I had a donor car. What I did with the package tray was cut it in half and only use the front section with the curve, This way it looked like it was installed from the factory.

Just out of curiusity is this a somewhat rare piece? I have been working on these cars for over thirty years and have only seen two, 1 in a used car and the second one I just bought of E-bay (new). :burnout:

Great Post. Just to add to it, when you have the seats apart switch the left and right seat foam padding. this will help with the worn out areas of the left and right seat foam when getting in and out of the car!

Great Job! I know what you mean about uncomfortable seats. I have a 2008 mega cab, and on long trips (6 hours plus) both the driver and passenger seats suck! I bought a set of 2009 Cadillac seats with power everything (hate mixing GM and Dodge) off E bay. Much Nicer.
