How does a W2 head oil the rockers/valve train?

O.K, So I went and looked at a pair of X heads I have on the bench. Out of the five pedestals there is only one oil supply hole for the rocker arm shaft. pedestal #2. Second from the back on the right (Pass) side and second from the front on the left (drivers) side. the supply hole is not...

How does a W2 head oil the rockers/valve train?

Just thinking about this, if I pull off my rocker shafts and turn over the motor with the starter I should have oil at the #2 & #4 rocker shaft pedestals........correct? This would confirm my cam bearings are lined up?

    W2 rockers

Well, after screwing up two rockers I called Chuck today at Norris. It almost sounds like he's working out of his garage or something, no email, no fax, no visa, no MasterCard! In order to get two rockers ($40.00 bucks each) I need to send him a cheque or money order. Just out of curiosity...

    Looked at Some Motors Today

Mike, This 318 motor had four bolt motor mounts on both sides. From what I've been seeing on this site a sonic test defiantly sound be done on the 73 block, some have had good luck while others Haven't at .060.

    Looked at Some Motors Today

I had a look at some small block mopars today and I have a few questions, 1) 1973 340 long block, stock rebuild, .060 over on the cylinders, X heads. Is this a usable block at .060? 2) 1969 340 short block, standard bore, forged crank, stock pistons. What's this worth? 3) 318 truck block...

How street able are these 340 stroker motors?

Is it cheaper to buy a kit or buy the parts seperatly? I priced out the steel crank from dodge - $1000.00. Whats the best choice for rods and pistons? hoping the block cleans up at .040. Can I use stock rods ? Pulling the motor Friday night!

How street able are these 340 stroker motors?

As noted above, I hate the solid roller valve train (yes I know they are the best). I also am not a fan of headers (been there done that several times, several brands). The W2 heads are great but you can't bolt factory manifold to them (I believe there is an adapter out there). My goal with this...

How street able are these 340 stroker motors?

Wow wouldn't think it would be a 50 hp diff. I know the w2 heads are specific but I do have the x's I could use. Looks like the six pac, x heads and stock exhaust manifolds will really choke up a stroker, on the other hand the extra cubic inches would help it out perform a stock 340!

How street able are these 340 stroker motors?

Micheal, I received your email the other day but my internet is screwed up and i cant send emails. your block is long gone, when the California kid popped the motor M&M cylinder heads in Cali swapped the block out for a 1978 model. Either the block was toast or they kept it once they seen all...
