How much $ for Dyno time ?

about 500 a day here too the shimming of the rockers, to be done right takes a machinists time - probably in the 75 - 100 per hour range. He will also want to check things over since you threw it out there about the liability. Honestly - since you say the shop is a good one - have them do it...

they sent me wrong pushrods with the oil hole

yes the comps have a hole both the 8043's and the originals ( i forget the number ) I dont have any good pix on the web of them but i used both comps and Manton PR and they both had oil holes. When I swapped heads - i swapped pr's and the wear pattern is outside of the oil holes

they sent me wrong pushrods with the oil hole

My manton PR's and comp PR's all have the oil hole in them - made 627 hp with no oil through the rockers and there is no damage - just friggin put it together.

340-416 Stroker Kit best pricing/ best experience

I got my last rotating assembly from Rod Bloomer @ BPE - He does small block mopar ONLY and every single piece he sent over did not need any further machining - aside from balancing of course.

    416 stroker build estimate?

balance is in the neighborhood of $200 depending on if they have to add weight. you need to check with local shops - I know you put the feelers out - but that is a can of worms. I just had mine CNC'd and it's not the cheapest route, but you get a much more precise engine in the end.

RFP for the Engine Build for the Missile

no offence but I made the same power, with an eddy head and alot less money. The roller in my engine may be the equalizer between the heads you have and the cam I have... I really dont know for sure. BPE also has a 4.250 stroke crank - that R block will handle it - the indy heads will handle...

i drained the break in oil and put in synthetic - thats it as far as turning things up goes I want to test my small headers vs the big ones, and some different crankcase scenerio's I'll let you know when the magazine articles start coming out - lol

<<<<<430 cube small block mopar build>>>>>

We spent today changing the oil, cutting the filter, and running the valves....Looks good and all the rockers didnt need adjustment. Took readings on cranking PSI on all cylinders - the small cam was 145 - 150 range - the big one is in the 135-140 range - i guess the overlap really take a chunk...

TEAL - Stock Eddy Head, Air Gap, 1 5/8" headers & small cam PINK - SDSS Heads, Victor 340, 1 5/8" headers & small cam WHITE - MCH Heads, Super Vitcor, 1 3/4 to 1 7/8" step headers, & big cam interesting to see the graph - the torque really moves up and down the RPM range, but stays at the same...

    opinions on stroker kit?

it all depends on the weights of the rest of the rotating assembly. Price is not always the best bet for parts - in general - I spent a little more for rods, bu they didnt need any work at the shop - same with the crank - sometimes if you cheap out and the rods or crank need to be worked on...

<<<<<430 cube small block mopar build>>>>>

yes its the final longblock... we had fun today finding hp - started out at 580@ 6500 - was way lean - needed to jet up ( was at 82 & 86 ) and timing was at 30 ( where the other 2 heads liked it AFR was in the high 13's and low 14's - :o - next pull had jetted up to 84 & 88 - made 609 @...
