    there is a spring pulling the fork back towards the Z bar under the car - the over center spring just takes the load off your foot after your over the center of travel. before that its actually harder to operate - and after it pulls it to the floor. adjust it with no pre-load and break it in...

    take the friggin spring out!!! i saw a guy missing shifts at the track last week - just put a centerforce in it - and didnt take the spring out!! take the spring out - it feels like a toyota compared to the original B&B plate that came with the cars!

    We jsut used a centerforce on the 383 4 speed we rebuilt last winter... very happy with it, really grabs when you bang gears, it will not kill your foot in traffic, and has held launching the chally all year, at the trach, about 10 runs... so far, for a one year review, I'm happy with...

    below are pictures of a 70 833 23 spline tranny with 112,000 miles on it, behind a 383 magnum motor, it is my fathers car, he bought it new, and put the miles on it doing just about everything, drag racing, speed shifting as much as possible, towing a camper etc... here are the syncros...
