    Wow. I feel like crap!

Don't like to blow my own horn but I quit 8 days ago. Cold turkey with the help of a book "Never Take Another Puff". I know it sounds corny but the book educated me on all the crap I was putting into my body every time I lit up. As others have said, you have to want to quit. This is the one time...

    1966 Barracuda Speeding Ticket

when it comes to traffic citations, always, always see the city attorney before making a plea. In most cases, the municipality is only interested in collecting the fine, but the city attorny can reduce the violation down to something less painful on your driving record, ie: less points...

    Just got my pumpkin carved.

Nice job toolman, very creative and well done. I used to carve pumpkins like that but haven't done one for 15 or more years. I guess I kinda quit when the kids got older. That one looks like David Letterman lol

Whats the oldest daily driver you drive.

I'm 49, my DD is a '64 VW Beetle 'til the snow flies, 36mpg and slightly faster than a 10 speed bike, but much less effort. (my son gets the '66 Barracuda). Winter months I jump in the '00 F150, just turned over 320,000 mi. and still gets 18mpg.

    Mouse in the House!

A friend of mine owns a body shop and also races an asphalt late model. In the off season the race car sits in the back corner of the shop with a cover over it. Being a body shop, inevitably he's got critters, so he got a dog to rid the shop of the little varments. Well the dog is so friendly...

'66 Cuda is Back on the road! WooHoo!

He was a great help. My deal when we started was that I would not work on the car without him, pretty tough for me as I really like working on older stuff. I made sure he was involved in evey step along the way, in fact, many times it was him motivating me to work on it. He too is very involved...

'66 Cuda is Back on the road! WooHoo!

Thank you, not the wheels my son wanted on the car, but I had those laying in my garage since I sold my Volare back in '85. Its amazing what you can pull off when working with a very tight budget. Thanks much goldfish, it means a lot to hear positive coments when you start to make changes...

'66 Cuda is Back on the road! WooHoo!

Oh Ya! Leaning tower of power baby! All original, 65,000 miles, that was in the car when I got it. Cleaned it up, replaced the water pump, fuel pump, thermostat, rebuilt the carb and gave it a fresh coat of Chrysler red paint. My son was begging me to put a 273 in but I figure at his age, now...

Thanks, the magnum 500's just happened to be what I had laying around, you don't often see those on early A-bodies, thought it looked pretty cool. Thanks, the bumpers where almost ready for the scrap yard, but then I realized how difficult it is to find bumpers at all for a '66, so I...

'66 Cuda is Back on the road! WooHoo!

After 27 months of fun and frustration, my '66 Barracuda is road ready. Its not really done, still needs carpet and a few other odds and ends, but are they ever really done. This was a father/son project from day one and man did it pay off. The last thing we did was have the front end aligned...

    Ford Recall...

Frankly, I don't care what you say about the Ford products. Besides regular maintanance, the only things I've replaced are lower ball joints, alternator and I'm on my forth solonoid. Thats it. If after 311,000 miles on my 2000 F150, the gas tank falls out, I'll probably just go out and find...

I call BS on Just Suspension

OneOfMany, I can see your point of view but, as stated in my original post, my brother has been a mechanic for 30+ yrs and has been doing business with Just Suspension for several years. He has sent parts back to them in the past and recieved full credit, so why the run around this time? As...

I call BS on Just Suspension

Thats just it. They won't exchange the part until they have the junk one in their hands. And only if THEY determine it to be defective. Even at that, I"m supposed to wait around through this whole process? Bogus! I went ahead and picked up a Moog part which I'll be changing out today. I'm still...

I call BS on Just Suspension

Heres the story. I ordered a complete front suspension kit, upper and lower ball joints, poly LCA bushings and strut rod bushings, tie rods and ends, back in Dec. 2010 through my brother, a 30+ yr veteran in the auto repair business. I'm finally at the point where I can take it for a front end...
