    I used the soft side of Velcro . Cut the width to what I wanted. Wrapped it like a U. That way it stayed in the channel and acted like the guide.

    Yes it's not that bad. Get yourself some hard plastic body tools. Usually sold in a pack of four or five. Start at a pillar and pry up.
