    10 minutes of driving and the brakes are wonky… sounds like the shoes are dragging. When cold how much effort does it take to turn the wheel when it’s jacked off the ground? It should only have a slight drag when the shoes are adjusted properly and the drums are round .

    In case the O.P. Hasn’t figured it out by now … The hood trim is ‘66 Dart only. The trim that curves down to the tail light fits’63 - ‘66 Darts only and there are left and right trim.

    Back seat differences

    The Valiant has a shorter wheel base than the Dart and the Valiant seat bottom is shorter . Dart seat is 22" front to back on the cushion and 19" front to back at the base .

    Yours is a Post Car so the window tracks keep the glass centered and prevent it from moving in and out , so the gap is almost as much as one whisker . On the hard top like mine they keep the glass from rattling when open or part way down and again there is a gap .

    If your pads a still soft or at least pliable and not damaged your best bet it to “paint” them . If not the black aftermarket pads are rock hard not pliable. I have two sets from different suppliers both are hard . You’re welcome to one set for the price of the ride .

    Tires and shocks make a big difference in the ride and handling . Back in the day the 7.00x13 BF Goodrich Silvertown 2 ply bias ply tires rode nice and made the /6 easy to do peg leg burnouts .     Besides the filling pain and holding the nozzle upside down mine would spill out the cap when doing hard right turns and run down the fender staining the paint . My solution was to only fill to 3/4 tank or just 12 gallons in the tank . Now that the car is repainted I don’t want to play that...

    A built 904 998 will work well with a 360 in any A body . Consider that Chrysler put the 360 and 904 in the ‘78 Cordoba and it lived or the ‘84 police Diplomats had the hi po 318 /904 combo and they lasted . Besides being smaller and lighter the 904 takes less hp to operate then the 727 .

    66 front clip is completely different then the 65 . Nothing will mix and match , you will have to either make it a 66 or change everything, hood fenders grill bumper trim and all the brackets . The 66 is one year only so is the 65 never the Twain shall meet.
