I had this same issue after converting from an automatic. Make sure that your throwout bearing can move freely from the pressure plate when the pedal is all the way out. Mine was adjusted right to the pressure plate and I couldn't shift... adjusted it back out a little bit and all is well.

Hell, at this point, I'm not sure of anything :? But yes, the gearbox is in neutral and it shifts fine thru the forward gears...no problem. I didn't even consider turning the lever over since it came out of the box connected already... brain fart on my part and Genius on your part -...

I purchased the 68-72 A-Body shifter linkage kit from Classic Industries and am having issues with the reverse rod...The shift rod connector needs to point up (at least I think so) and the rod it way too long. Thoughts? What am I doing wrong?

This flywheel came in the trunk of the car that I have. I have a flywheel for my 360, so I don't need this one, just trying to figure out what it's for... It has 144 teeth...the surface measures 13.75in and a cross measurement of the pressure plate bolt holes measures 12.50 inches. Numbers...

Exactly where do you measure the flywheel to determine the clutch size?
